Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

I was to busy reading Fury to post anything.
And i definitly recommend reading Fury.
In my opinion it is the best book of the series so far.

And after reading Fury i dont think Jacen will be killed off
in this series.
After you read it you will see why i dont think
he will be killed off.
In my previous post i also commented that Mara would make
an appearence in the last 2 books of the series
The reason i said that is because i talked with someone who
works at del rey and he is in position to know what happens in the rest of this series.
I actually had someone i know run a check on him and he does
work for del rey
Its also is the reason i warned everyone to take what he told me
with caution
He may be yanking my chain to get me hyped up for the last 2
books of the series.
So take what i heard for what its worth.
Aw cool! DANG! Jacen isn’t going to die! I EXTREMLY DISLIKE Jacen. And his stupid yellow-orange Sith eyes. And his stupid not caring for anyone but himself and his daughter….
jaina plans on capturing jacen after fett trains her. i think she might have to kill him.also harrar was right. its destined that they fight.the twin sacrifice will go down.
I actually never read sacrifice (nor most of the Star Wars books) but I have read all of Zahn’s books involving Mara Jade (The thrawn trilogy, hand of thrawn duology, That one about outbound flight etc.) and she is easily EASILY the best EU character out there, even better than some of the movie characters (Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, Jar Jar, Qui-gon jin… Epesode 3’s terrible performance by Ewen Mcgreggor as Obi-Wan(seriously man what hapened?) I’m looking at all of you!!!!!)
I’ve read a few of the New Jedi Order books (which made some questionable decisions involving Mara but at least none of them were fatal) but then I saw Mara standing on the front cover of a hardback titled ‘Sacrifice’ and thought ‘I might read that some time’ a few months later I was reading strange things on the internet involving my favorite EU character and then BAM depression! Dead… DEAD!!!! Come on man, you can’t just run around killing super popular characters! It complely destroyed my interest in the EU universe, and man, even if I never read another book, I WANT HER BACK!!!!!!!!!!! I am much happier living in my Hand of thrawn universe than in a Mara free series of novels… If she stays dead, then I think it’s time for Star Wars to wrap up, they’ve had a great half a century, but it’s starting to drag on, and if they are going to be killing the people we love populating it, there isn’t much more for me there.

We can fight shout scream at each other and while we do this the
people at lucasfilm and del rey sit back and laugh there asses off.
The point of this board is to try to convince the people at lucasfilm
and del rey that they where wrong to kill off Mara Jade.
So please if you dont have any construtive ideas on how to do this
leave others alone on this board so that we can put our heads together and try to get those people at lucasfilm and del rey to
change there minds and bring Mara Jade back.
I just finished reading Fury a couple of days ago, and I have to admit that it was quite a good book. Sure, Allston may have focused on some of his favourite characters at the expense of other good ones, but name me one author who doesn’t do that. Anyway, I still miss Mara Jade Skywalker, but I have to admit that her death was well-written (not bad, Karen), and it did shake things up a bit. And after reading Fury, I’m starting to think that Jacen/Caedus may very well survive as a Sith after the series. He hasn’t quite had the opportunity to shine as a Sith so far, and killing him off before that happened would be a huge waste of a character development (even if it is one that is universally despised).
At least Jaina is starting to grow up and make peace with both her boys, and is not torn between the two of them so much anymore. I just wish the shippers would see that. I’m looking forward to her training under Fett. (But if Karen decides to create a Mandalorian boy for her to fall in love with, then GOD HELP ME… I’M GONNA… ! OK, just calm down now)
Anyway, I still miss Mara.
