Knights of the Old Republic continues to impress in this post Zane on the run era.
This is the beginning of a new story arc – with a sport theme too..
Still early but the basic premise is cool a corrupt sporting association with a man who has his son trapped in the system –
Zane is about to get involved and it’s all supposed to be a scam..
but it isn’t is it?

Star Trek XI isn’t even in the theatres yet but apparently Star Trek XII is already in the works.
Star Trek XII would be set for a summer of 2011 release.
“There’s obviously a lot of hubris involved in signing on to write a sequel of a movie that hasn’t even come out yet,” Damon Lindelof told SciFi Wire , co-creator with Abrams of ABC’s Lost who produced the upcoming Trek but did not contribute to Orci and Kurtzman’s screenplay. “But we’re so excited about the first one that we wanted to proceed.”

Tricia Helfer is best known to SciFi fans as Caprica Six —
Tonight she made her Chuck debut as a 49B – and she was awesome wasn’t she?
No not a cylon – but a hard nose by the book US Government spy.
And how about that FRAKKIN awesome scene where she pretends to be a stripper for a bachelor party!
Let’s hope it will be a recurring role for her -and chuck.
If you missed it Amazon has the episode (officially called Chuck Versus the Broken Heart
) for you to check out.

F-you Michael. (Patrick Stewart to Michael Dorn)
What a waste of talent. The Family Guy pulled in all the great actors from Star Trek TNG and there was maybe two decent lines in the whole thing.
Patrick Stewart telling of Michael Dorn was classic – for sure…and Denise Crosby getting shot in the first minutes also classic.
After that? Levar Burton’s visor bit was funny – but for the most part nothing happened we didn’t even get funny Star Trek TNG puns.
And when Meg has her God tangent ..instead of pulling in ‘Q’ which would have made sense – they pull in the Flash – ahh aha – theme from the early 80’s Queen song.
What a waste.

What a great episode this week called –Echoes – (season 1 episode 7)
We get full insight into Caroline and how she became a doll – and insight overall into how the Dollhouse works.
Rossum Corp – finds people who are in trouble – financially or with the law and signs them up for a five year contract –
Does that mean that they’re free after five years and just get their original memories back?
It’s still unclear how agent ballard will get back on the case but you gotta know that he will be ..sooner rather than later.

On March 29th after waaay too many years the cast of the best Star Trek show ever will finally be re-united — albeit in animated form.
All of the original main cast member will voice actors in the show ..
awesome.
Family Guy is a great show (though we weren’t super keen on Blue Harvest the star wars spoof).
I can hardly wait!

This was a weird episode – Sam tracks down the Aries Toy company – an obvious connection to Project Aries which is the reason why sam is in 1973 right?
The toy company had mars pathfinder toys – obviously something that didn’t belon in 1973.
The FBI agent clearly new everything – and at one point I was thinking maybe this is the final episode…but no we end up with what…more confusion..
I really hope that whatever Project Aries makes sense – it sure would suck to have a Lame ending like Battlestar Galactica
Where the Wild Things Are – Maurice Sendak’s kids book comes to the big screen and it looks LAME March 25, 2009

As a child, Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are
was one of my fav books.
Max gets pissed off at his mom and goes to bed without dinner than goes on an adventure to the land of the wild things where he becomes the king — then he comes back to eat his dinner.
This wonderful childhood classic is now going to be ruined by a feature film.
I’ve pasted the trailer below and it looks as lame as lame can be. The wild things look like walking stuffed animals (think Barney).

Battlestar Galactica’s finale was kinda sucky – but we get a chance to do it again – from the Cylon point of view – from the beginning.
Babylon 5 did a similar thing with its movies – going back after shows were on TV to fill in the blanks and it really worked.
Let’s hope The Plan is frakking awesome

Now that Battlestar Galactica is done – we’ve got the prequel to look forward to on April 21st (pre-order Caprica on Amazon is now only $17.49)
The first few clips we’ve seen of Caprica – were well…FRAKKING LAME. So SyFy (yeaah idiotic name if there ever was one) has pushed out 7 new clips to try and show us that there is more to the show.
And there is more. Caprica could be really good on the whole and we’re looking forward to seeing the whole thing.

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis led from one to other. We knew the character before the show began and it was a natural progression.
That’s not how Stargate Universe will be..since both SG-1 and Atlantis were heartlessly terminated by SyFy (what the frak is SyFy??).
Anyways the first trailer is up and it looks pretty good – the creative team on Stargate Universe is top-notch and even though SyFy will do everything they can to screw up the show, this team will make it work.
Battlestar Galactica Finale – What The Frak Was That? Starbuck an angel? Let’s fly all our ships into the sun? March 21, 2009

After all the excitement – 6 years of TV dating back to the original mini-series in 2003. This is how it ends.
Starbuck isn’t a Cylon – she’s an ‘angel’? what was her ship that came back then?
The first hour of this show Season 4 Episode 20 Daybreak (Daybreak, Part 3) was great – the assault on the Cylon colony – centurions fighting centurions classic and new…guns blazing in all out slaughter.
The deal with Cavel – also brilliant..as was Tyrol going nuts when he realized who killed Calli that was all neat up until they jumped away.
Then the show went right to hell.
Lets fly all our ships into the sun because technology is bad?? WHAT THE FRAK IS THAT.
(yes it was cool to hear the classic Battlestar Galactica theme though as the ships sailed into the sun though).
The visions of Caprica and Baltar were just angels too? I’m not sure about that.
The whole idea that the Galactica’s crew then goes on 150,000 years later to help seed humanity on Earth — that was kinda neat and it was neat to see Ron Moore at the newsstand in New York City.
This is it? Really?
So yes there were some redeeming moments to this series finale for sure. Yes it did try and tie up as many loose ends as possible. But it was in our view still somewhat disappointing.
Battlestar Galactica in this new creation has always tried to take a high moral ground and be about more than just science fiction. But to say that technology is the root of evil is just wrong. For the colonists to give up their ships and technology entirely makes no sense. For Starbuck to just be an ‘angel’ makes no sense.
Of all the great BattleStar Galactica episodes – and there have been some 80 hours of it at this point – this is not Galactica’s finest hour. Not by a long shot.
It’s a mediocre and unsatisfying end to a magnificent series.
We will miss you Galactica and we will remember the good times, the great times, the fantastic characters and scenarios and we will be grateful. It will be hard for anyone to ever replace you.
SO SAY WE ALL.

So Agent Ballard’s neighbor is a doll too????
Who isn’t a doll?
Gotta love the control phrase too: There are Three Flowers in a vase.
We kinda/sort guessed she could have been a doll but still a surprise in the end and well played.
The whole thing with the abuse of Sierra was also disturbing…but perhaps most intriguing was the larger dollhouse conspiracy
There are 20 dollhouses? and who leaked the news to Echo to tell Agent Ballard? Was it the the head of the Los Angeles DollHouse? Or was it Topher’s assistant?
The TV documentary angle on the Dollhouse was also a realy interesting dramatic lure – this is one well craft show isn’t it?

Another fine episode of Life on Mars last night. Sam sure made a fine Irishman..and a great episode to have during St.Patrick’s day week.
Amazing idea to be able to go back and bang the Nanny that you fantasized about as a boy..but like everything in Sam’s life the reality is very different than what he remembered.
And finally he talks to himself – as a boy…not your fault things happen discussion..
for some reason we thought that if Sam actualy was in contact with himself in the past that something BAD would happen – it didn’t.
Still have no idea how this show will end

Linda Hamilton is the original, the one the only, true Sarah Connor and
SHE’LL BE BACK for Terminator 4 : Terminator Salvation.
We first heard inklings of this in January and now SciFi has some confirmed sources saying its done.
Linda Hamilton’s voice will be used in the film – not sure if this will be an Obi-Wan Kenobi thing talking to John Connor – or more of a flashback life lessons thing – but it’ll be there.
Goodbye SciFi Channel. Hello Syfy? What the Frak?! March 16, 2009

SciFi Channel is changing its name.
This is the network that kills great shows like Stargate Atlantis and stretches out four season of Battlestar Galactica over 6 years.
Changing the name is easily the stupidest thing yet that SciFi has done. Sci Fi is the brand, Syfy is what?
There used to be a site called SyFyportal.com tthat I liked before it got really lame and is now moon base alpha or some other lame assed thing.
does anyone actually like the name? does this mean they will rename their core online properties like SciFi.com…cause if they’re giving up on it..i’d like a shot at buying the name.

Following on the events of Star Trek Destiny, Star Trek: A Singular Destiny
by Keith DeCandido shows us the Alpha Quadrant after the Borg devastation..
It’s not a pretty picture.
At first this book was a little hard to get into as it doesn’t focus on some of the character we already know…it takes a few chapters till Captain Dax of the Aventine makes her appearance and there is no Riker or Picard.
That said, we are introduced to a new character Professor Sonek Pran who is a very likeable and well written character – and is the cheif protaganist of this story.
We also do get some pull through a few chapters in from the SCE series as well as the Klingon Gorkon series…so it all works out.
As for the plot, the final conclusion – the rise of the Typhon Pact was kinda neat but how all the little pieces of the conspiracy fit together from Zalda all the way up — seems like a bit of a stretch to us.
One Ferengi was able to negotiate and trigger so much trouble across the Federation? Wouldn’t more than one ship of refugees come to Zalda?
Still, plot cohesion issues aside, this book is highly entertaining and a must read for those that love Star Trek Destiny.

Daybreak, Part 1 – what we are calling Season 5 Episode 9 (SciFi calls is Season 4 Episode 19) The second last episode ever of Battlestar Galactica was all about setup for the final and ultimate showdown.
Instead of Galactica going out with a whimper she will go out with a bang.
Instead of limping away to try and find a hiding spot for humanity.. Galactica will make one last attack against the Cylons.
It is as it should be.
The show will end will on big final battle to end all battles between the Cylons and the Humans and Galactica will go out in a blaze of glory with her guns firing into the Cylon beast.
Just awesome.
Not so sure about all the Caprica flashbacks in this episode – neat to see that Caprica 6 cared about Gaius’s dad..the other stuff…not so sure.
The red line across the dead was a brilliant dramatic angle for sure too.
And when did Tyrol end in lock-up? sure he belonged there but…
Hard to believe that after all these years we’re almost at the end – even harder to believe that the end WASN’T Earth but is something else…likely the death of the Battlestar Galactica itself and everyone on it.

Soo apparently the Doll’s do remember stuff! Why else would Victor get an erection whenever he sees Sierra?
Also how else would Echo have the residual to remember things too.
And what’s the deal with Mellie? Is she Agent Ballard’s stalker or is she somehow related to Echo too?
LOTS OF QUESTIONS which is a good thing. This latest episode with Branch Davidian types was pretty cool and once again proves that Dollhouse has legs. This is is show that (unless Fox screws it up) should last awhile.
