Looks like Season five of clone wars is the last for the amazing animated series on Cartoon Network.
We will see some more episode – likely on Disney XD – but whatever constitutes season six will be the end for Clone Wars.
What will become of Ashoka?

Ok – we knew this was coming (and yeah we have the Dark Horse comic waiting to be read too) and sure we’ve been a little behind on the Clone Wars animated series lately too…
but wow.
this new trailer for a special director’s cut of the Return of Darth Maul (Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Season Four) sends goosebumps down all Sith spawn loving spines. Maul was the only good thing in the prequels and now he’s back and oh yeah he faces Obi-Wan Kenobi too (the dude that chopped him in two).
Brilliant stuff and yet another reason why we’ll be spending the next few weeks catching up on the great show that is Star Wars The Clone Wars.

We all know that Ashoka has to go…
She doesn’t existing in Star Wars ANH (or III for that matter).
At some point she disappears…
or dies.
In an interview this week, Clone Wars show chief Dave Filoni told ComicCon conf goes that,
“”I’ve done eight different endings for her. I’ll be talking to George about it soon,” said Filoni.
That’s right Ashoka fans…she’s going bye, bye.
Meantime lots to look forward too in Clone Wars Season 4 hard to believe that this series has been on the air for three years already.
Let’s hope it stays on for a few more…

We all know that Ashoka doesn’t make it. But what we didn’t know is how she gets toasted.
With the upcoming second half of season 3 – staring on January 7, 2011, we might finally find out.
Apparently Anakin’s apprentice, turns to the dark side…

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
woohoo!!
who among us did not LOVE LEGO Star Wars (1&2 and the combined set?)
Now after several years of no new LEGO Star Wars games, TT Games has set Feb 15th, 2011 as the release date for the next installment : The Clone Wars.
And yes, this looks awesome….though we do have some early concerns about the split 2 player setup which we’ve seen before from TT in Indiana Jones Lego 2…
Quinlan Vos Comes to Star Wars Clone Wars animated November 3, 2010

Quinlan Vos is one of the greatest Jedi ever created by Dark Horse — and until now he has exclusively existed only in the comic books.
But now at long last he’s coming to TV in Season 3 of the Clone Wars!
Quinlan is cool because he’s kinda like Cade Skywalker (Legacy) in that he’s got powers like a Sith but he’s got a good heart. He’s been to the Dark Side (and back), but the difference btwn Light and Dark can be a blur for him.

Hard to believe that Star Wars Clone Wars has been on the air for over two years now…but it’s True!
Season Three starts this week! It seems like just yesterday we paid to see the pilot movie in the theater too… (BTW, Amazon has decent pricing on Season 2 and Season 1 if you need to catch up)
Clone Wars Animated has been an awesome series so far, giving us a different viewpoint on Anakin Skywalker and introducing us to worlds that we’ve never seen before (but read about).
And of course, how can we talk about Clone Wars without mentioning Ashoka Tano?
With Ashoka we have perhaps the brightest new character addition to the Star Wars universe outside of the 6 movies.
We’ve also gotten a more personal view of the clones with Captain Rex and crew.
For Season three it looks like we might see the end of Asaj Ventress and the return of a creature that looks a whole lot like Darth Maul!!! We can hardly wait…

We’re a little behind the curve here, but have now just watched the first two episodes of Clone Wars Season 2
So far so good.
Though..the plot was a little thin. I mean come ON how could Bain walk out of the Jedi temple without someone sensing him in the Force? That was a bit of a stretch.
Beyond that, another decent coming of age episode for Ashoka and hey Bounty Hunters rock.
The new clone wars has a basic but very enjoyable formula for most shows that just works.
What I’m still really looking forward to seeing are the hints of darkness in Anakin that we have yet to see.

Don’t know about you but we miss Clone Wars and can’t wait for season two to start.
We’ll all have to wait until Friday Oct 2nd though.
It looks like this year will mark the return of the Bounty Hunters, and in particular Mandalorian bounty hunters (not just Fett either).
If you’re looking for Star Wars The Clone Wars: The Complete Season One (TV Series)on DVD, you’ve got to wait until November 3rd to get your copy.
In the meantime, how about a nice little Season Two trailer to keep you interested?

A new bunch of Habro ships are now out – including a new Super Vulture Droid fighter!
Loads of weapons on this bad boy – 6 rockets with 2 launchers, for all sorts of combat fun. A spring-loaded “head” pops up to compliment the split-apart wings, which transforms the ship from sleek starfighter to a birdlike walking robot.
I haven’t seen this ship (yet) on store shelves but it is available from Entertainment Earth for $26.99 now. I have not yet seen a better deal on eBay with pricing ranging from $29.95 to $34.95. (Vulture Droid on eBay)

After dragging this basic storyline out for the last four issues, we’re finally getting closer to the end game here.
Anakin is a ‘slave’ to the Queen of Zygerria, but what?? She gets killed? and she loves him??
NUTS. Padme sure wouldn’t be happy about that.
And where was the rest of the Republic Fleet this whole time?
And now Dooku is going to turn on Zygerria? ok that’s kinda cool.
I will buy the final issue in this story arc, but am not likely to continue buying this series overall. Though it’s ok, it’s not nearly half as good as the animated series on TV.

Who doesn’t like the new Star Wars Clone Wars animated series?
The animation is slick (especially the non-moving hair), the voice actors are superb and Ashoka Tano is the breakout girlie character of the entire Star Wars universe.
We’ve seen a Star Trek actor – George Takei – make an appearance and had more battles than anyone could possibly count.
It’s all good. And Cartoon Network agrees so they’ve picked up the show for another year.
‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ is like nothing else on television and has delivered for us on all levels. It has helped us launch a great new night of action-adventure on Fridays,” said Stuart Snyder, president and COO of Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media in a statement.

I dunno about this episode…a little too high and mighty on the moral side.
We’ve got a young female senator – a South African accented Amidala essentially – who needs to rise to the occasion to help broker peace btwn an indiginous group and her planet…
ah well.. seeing snow clone trooper was cool…the pre-cursor to the the snow troopers that storm Hoth in Empire Strikes Back i guess.

Nice episode and awesome to hear the voice of George Takei as the neimodian Lok Durd!
He’s got just a deep resonance that he really does sound EVVVILLL doesn’t he.
and yes master secura is one sweeet french accented kick ass jedi…
Beyond that once again Rex proves he’s the finest that Jango Fett’s clone can offer.
Wild Space : Star Wars Clone Wars- REVIEW January 26, 2009

Star Wars Clone Wars Wild Space by Karen Miller is a great book.
It fits into the new Star Wars Clone Wars canon with the animated series (complete with Ashoka). It fits in between Clone Wars Episode 6 and 7 where R2 is lost.
This book isn’t about R2, it’s not about Anakin and though the cover has Clones on it – is not about clones either.
This book is about the Dark Side.
It’s about Obi-Wan Kenobi in one of the personal tales I’ve ever read of his on a trip to a dark Sith world with Senator Bail Organa tagging along.
What makes this book even more interesting is the view into Palpatine as well. There are a few fantastic sections in this book where Palpatine is talking with Yoda but the narrator/author show us his true internal thoughts — and no he doesn’t like Yoda much (Palpatine that is).
There are also great sections with Padme Amidala too and her own internalization during conversations with Obi-Wan and Yoda. In fact this story (at the beginning) does fit in nicely in between the battle of Geonosis and Padmes wedding to Anakin at the end of Episode II.
Overall The writing is smooth and makes for an easy and very enjoyable read. This is easily the best Star Wars book we’ve read so far in 2009 (year is young though) but Miller has done an excellent job here of bringing us even closer to characters we already know in a new and unique way.

This was an ok episode – The big thing is the first speaking role for Aayla Secura ever in a live action Star Wars show/movie.
Aayla Secura was first made famous in Dark Horse Comics as the padawan of Quinlan Vos – (btw HOPE we see Master Vos in this series)!
Everyone apparently needs an accent in this show – so Secura had a – what was that a French accent?
Anyways great to see her finally have a voice.
As for the episode itself – harmless enough and basic enough. The Jedi crash land on a planet and need help. Nothing too exciting but a nice coming out party for Secura.

Jar Jar continues to amaze and save his friends even though he’s a buffoon….astounding.
We’ve never like JarJar but Clone Wars does its best to try and make him more likable. Another neat episode that nicely wraps up from the last episode.
Not quite sure where that ship in the end came from – since the Republic ship that JarJar and the clones came down in was shot down..guess that was Anakin’s ship they took off in.
This series overall has become a must watch part of the Star Wars canon with consistenly good shows week in and week out.

This comic is getting a bit lame fast isn’t it? So now Anakin is a slaver with Ashoka the slave…all the while Anakin is charming the Queen of the Slavers…
I dunno it’s a little bit of a stretch that no one would recognize a hero of the Republic just because he’s wearing an eye patch…
To add further insult to injury – it looks like the next issue of this series will not be out until February..not sure why Dark Horse is jerking around with this series…maybe they’re just not serious enough about it.
The animated show on Cartoon Network is MUCH better.

Those Weequay pirates….gotta hand it to them they ain’t dumb…though they do sound a whole lot like the Trade Federation Neimodians ..
A fun little episode – why Douku didn’t use some Sith fire to fight a little more – i don’t know..and i guess his Solar Sail doesn’t have hyperdrive? Why wouldn’t he have just jumped ?

Awesome Grievous episode – with some ridiculously cool lightsaber action –
Sure a little saad Grievous killed the Mon Cal Jedi but hey it’s Grievous and he’s got four arms.
Great to see his lair and great to see the Dooku trick too.
But perhaps the most interesting part was Fisto himself – played by a voice actor that sounded Jamaican Rastaman to me. Sure his ‘hair’ fits the bill but i never though of Fisto that way…
