Stargate Atlantis maybe gone, but we’re going to get to see Fan favorite Ronon Dex (played by actor Jason Momoa) back on screen soon.
Momoa has been cast as Conan in an upcoming remake of the movie that made Arnold Schwartzenegger famous.
What is best in Life Conan?
For Momoa, we’d venture that would be hunting down Wraith and living in Atlantis.
But as Conan, he’ll have Valeria and be fighting for the glory of Crom.

Stargate Atlantis producer Joe Mallozzi has a lot of ideas for Stargate Atlantis season 6.
While Season five episode 20 – the 100th episode for the show overall marked the series finale – it wasn’t originally supposed to be that way. Season five was supposed to be the gateway to a new awesome story arc of Season 6.
“It was also intended to be the launching point for a very interesting early season 6 scenario,” Mallozzi blogged. ” With Atlantis back on Earth, why the hell would the I.O.A. ever let it go? And if it remained, which, by all indications seemed likely, what would become of its occupants, especially Ronon and Teyla? Also, with a permanent station in the Milky Way, wouldn‘t Atlantis, logically, cease to be a launch point for gate travel and, instead, become a research center for Ancient technology? Well, I guess you’ll never know the answer to these questions…”
Actually we’ll find out some of them in the Stargate Atlantis movies – but still…Atlantis as a regular weekly series still apparently had a lot of gas left it in when Sci Fi Channel pulled the plug. What a shame.

Goodbye Stargate Atlantis – we’re sad to see you go.
The final episode of Stargate Atlantis was one of the best ever for the series – with the Wraith finally reaching Earth – and with Atlantis finally reaching Earth.
But the big battle – wasn’t nearly as great as when the G’ould in Stargate SG-1 attacked Earth was it? This sure was a whole lot more low key.
And what’s the deal with having no one in the Weapons chair empty? Sure Sheppard could fly the 302s but isn’t there anyone else on Earth (like O’Neil??) who could have sat in the chair too? Seemed kind of dumb.
But great to see Ronon die and come back and then get a girlfriend. Always good to see the Golden Gate Bridge though – would have more fun if they landed in New York City.
Unlike the final episode of Stargate SG-1 this was better series finale – sure there are loose ends but nothing like the crap SG-1 left us with.
The Wraith are still out there, Todd is on Earth and Pegasus Galaxy needs defending…but I suppose we’ll get that in upcoming Stargate Atlantis movies – no word yet on when those movie might show up – but hopefully they’ll be sooner rather than later.
Stargate Atlantis ends at a better time than SG-1 , since the primary enemy is still out there and there is lots more room to explore. Still it’s sad to see the show gone and Friday nights won’t be the same..
BUT HEY! Battlestar Galactica is back next week!

A few clips from the final episode of Stargate Atlantis have now …surfaced on YouTube.
The basic story is simple –the Wraith, have at last uncovered the road to Earth. As they sweep aside any & all resistance in their new, colossal, mega-hiveship, the Atlantis expedition & Stargate Command coordinate a desperate defense against the oncoming Wraith onslaught. Defeat by the Wraith condemns humanity to a fate much worse than death.
In a touching scene – Stargate producers have also named a new ship the General Hammond (he died in real life).
It looks like there are a lot of cameo appearances in this episode – with Stargate Command personnel including Samantha Carter taking a staring role.
We can hardly wait until Friday when this airs!!

Wow what a great episode – and sadly the second last ever for Stargate Atlantis.
From beginning to end this episode had a real CSI feel – and that duelling metal and Johhny Cash Solitary Man soundtracks were just magnificient.
What if John Sheppard’s life had gone just a little different? This episode with him as a down on his luck Vegas cop tracking a killer (aka Wraith) fit perfectly. It’s still Sheppard – just a down on his luck version.
The Wraith with the makeup making his way in Vegas was also awesome – i’ll be doing a double take next time i’m in Vegas to make sure i’m not playing poker against a Wraith.
The funniest line? From McKay when he says well he’s not a Klingon at the Star Trek Experience – cause that closed down a few months ago!!
Sure there are those that will argue that for the second last episode of Stargate Atlantis we should’ve seen a more plot focussed story – I disagree.
This tangent to a parallel universe proves once again that Stargate Atlantis was not a copy of SG-1. Atlantis stands on its own merits. The brilliant story telling of this episode may not necessarily advance the mainline Atlantis story but it is a story that was incredibly entertaining and one of the best episodes in the entire five year run of Stargate Atlantis.
Talk about saving the best for last.
Now all we’ve got left is the final episode –

Considering that there are only TWO EPISODES LEFT of Stargate Atlantis – this was a really lame episode.
We’ve seen the body transfer thing a dozen or more times already – this one was not nearly as good as the SG-1 episode when Daniel Jackson and Vala got transfered – remember they almost got burned at the stake!
Still basicly good fun – it’s just we really wish that we’d get something MORE seeing as this series is capable of MORE and we’re almost done.
If I had written the final three or four episodes of Atlantis you can bet your Wraith hating soul that it would be a massively engaging four part cycle that engaged everything we all know and love about Atlantis. If the last two episodes are anything like this one – the show will go out with a whimper instead of a bang.

The ship got sick! Great stuff…and great to see Wraith drone warriors without their masks on too.
Darn shame the treatment doesn’t work to help the Wraith…but
Ultimately this episode was about Sheppard and Todd and the bond between the two.
It’s a bond that we’ll see again – hopefully before the series ends in three more episodes…it totally sucks that SciFi Channel has cancelled the show.

Kinda cheesy episode don’t ya think?
We know that Keller and McKay hook-up – and having this little episode to show how their relationship grows in a situation is I guess – necessary.
McKay dropping his work to go save Dr. Keller was noble – and her telling him that she loves him was ‘sweet’.
Overall though a relatively lame episode though and not one that we’re likely to want to watch again for any particular reason.

Wow what a neat episode – especially that final little twist at the end – that was fantastic.
McKay is so smug and yet he too was fooled by the AI.
And that whole thing with Kolya coming back and chopping off Sheppard’s arm? that was brutal – and great TV.
How about Woolsey? At first a mega wimp and now a really great character in this show. He really has developed in the last few episodes into a fantastic asset to the show.
With only a few episodes to go, it’s great to see there are still some great plots that Stargate Atlantis has left in it – makes it a real shame that there won’t be a Season Six. This show isn’t as worn out at SG-1 and really still have a whole lot of life left.

Well we never saw the body – so the answer has to be No. Also the dude clones everything so there is likely a Michael clone out there somewhere.
So how did Michael get control of Atlantis so easily? Yeaah the stun bubble..
Easily the best part of this episode was the ending when Ronon surprised Mr. Woolsey by giving him his audio filed report. Michael attacked atlantis. We fought him off. End of report.
Classic.
But what about that other gate room woman Emelia? ? She was kick ass! I don’t recall seeing her before and i was a little disappointed that we didn’t see more of her – and what’s her T’eyla relegating her to baby holding duty?

Soo we finally get the Encounter at Farpoint episode for Stargate Atlantis – the humans of the Milky Way on trial!!
And how about that comment about the Federation? (yeaah but they had ships!).
Also how the heck did they only choose three people to repesent all the worlds of Pegasus? Where were Jennai? Where were the travellers (Laryn’s people) ?
Good idea though and it will make for some interesting politics in the remaining episodes of Atlantis.
And of course there is Mr. Woolsey who was finally in his element and was the hands down hero of this episode. Great stuff and easily the best episode yet for Richard Picardo.
Always great too to get that trip down memory lane of five years worth of Stargate Atlantis memories –

Lots of double and triple crossing going on in this episode. And where did Dr. Beckett come from? Last we saw him he was being sent back to Earth for testing and now he’s a regular again? when did that happen?
Also a few story continuity problems in this episode.
For one – all the balarans were round up by the Wraith in front of the gate – but we didn’t see them when Col Sheppard and crew came back to the gate fighting – where did the Balarans go?
For two – where did the balaran that pointed out Beckett go? we never saw him killed!
And lastly – though this is just a question – what about Todd and Michael? How do they play into the hothan plague at this point?
All told this was another solid episode that kept our eyes peeled on the screen from beginning till the end.

What a FANTASTIC episode!!! The bad dudes are really Evil Asgard! who saw that coming? The Asgard are the prime benefactors of humanity without whom Earth wouldn’t have hyperdrive ships/shields or weapons and in Pegasus they will now be an enemy (of sorts).
We get some Traveller action – but not Laryn – Col. Sheppard’s girlfriend..
And Todd goes native – so now he’s a bad guy again and they the Atlanteans still haven’t tested the treatement that would led the Wraith eat regular food which was the whole purpose of the meeting in the first place!
Finally – Dr. Keller – lets Ronon down – that was soo …awkward to watch but well played.

Always great to see Dr. Daniel Jackson – and Todd the Wraith is an awesome character too…big question here is
Who those armored dudes? Are the descendants of Janus? Ancients? Other Pegasus Galaxy sentients??
Does the Atano device (the field that destroys Wraiths hyperdrives) destroy all stargates throughout Pegasus too?
Lot of questions for sure. No doubt Col.Sheppard survives the blast in the gate room that’s easy..the other questions not so much.
Let’s make a few guesses here – the armored dudes are in facts directly connected to the Ancient Atlanteans somehow (maybe robot shell for their consciousness?) and let’s also assume that any gate that was activated during the time the device was activated was destroyed (which would mean many but not all gates in Pegasus are now gone).
It will be Todd (not Sheppard) and Ronon that will save Jackson and McKay, making for yet another interesting twist..

Another great Stargate Atlantis episode – the runner concept has always been a great one in Atlantis and now we see another Runner – hazzah!
The fact that he has a ‘heart’ and is trying to save a little girl is also great but the uber plot – the content of McKay and Ronen for Dr. Keller that’s off the charts.
We know from the version of the future that Shepard saw that Keller ends up with McKay but still we also know that Ronen has a thing for Keller – not usually the kind of social interplay that we’re loooking for in good SciFi but it sure is entertaining isn’t it?

Long Live T’eyla Queen of the Wraith!!!
What a great episode from start to finish. First the proposal to wean the Wraith off human feeding is an awesome idea..though similiar to how in SG-1 they weaned the Jaffah off the symbiots..it just makes sense.
The ‘double cross’ making T’eyla Queen of the whole Wraith Alliance though was just a really neat an unexpected twist that just made us go – WOW.
But a question – how did Todd get the respect of his own hive without a Queen ? Sure we know he said he hid the issue from others hives..but on his own ship?
with 12 episodes to go till the series ends – we’re going to make a prediction. T’eyla will re-appear as Queen of the Wraith – the Atlantis plan to get the Wraith onto regular food will work and we’ll end up with three factions – human feeding wraith, food feeding wriath and michael’s hybrids.

Joe Mallozzi Exec Producer of Stargate Atlantis (who also blogs on WordPress) has opened up about the cancellation of Stargate Atlantis. I don’t understand why he didn’t fight more.
I don’t understand why this awesome writer would give up on the fans that support the show week in and week out.
It’s been a bittersweet couple of days. On the one hand, I’m sorry to see the series end but, on the other hand, I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished. 100 episodes is pretty damn impressive feat and, as evidenced by the quality of recent stories and the uptick in the ratings, we’ll be going out on a high. Even though I see a lot of anger directed at both MGM and Sci Fi, the fact is we couldn’t have done it without their support.
Mallozzi titled his post “All Good Things…” but this is not an All Good Things…ending. With Star Trek TNG the show was not canceled mid-season. No matter what Mallozzi writes, we the fans should be angry and upset at the way that Sc Fi channel treats Sci Fi fans. It’s just not right.
That said – Mallozzi deserves our respect and admiration for the openness that he shows on his blog and for the quality show that Stargate Atlantis truly is. While the journey has been shorter than it should have been, it’s been quite a ride.
While we know there will be a Stargate Atlantis movie..we still don’t know when Stargate Universe (the third Stargate TV series) will air – or even on which network it will show up on. Let’s hope that we’ll find out soon and the idiots that run Sci Fi channel won’t be involved in it either.

Yes it’s true Atlantis has been CANCELLED.
SCI FI Channel isn’t likely to listen to reason but hey no harm in trying. We were going to start up our own Save Atlantis petition but there is already one out there.

Some how, some way the jerkoffs that run Sci Fi need to understand that they need to treat fans with more respect.
