Star Wars Legacy which has often been reviewed here on ShowMeScifi is one of the best comic books today and likely the best Star Wars comic book series ever created.

Set far beyond any other Star Wars series -the only lineage connection we’ve had so far is Cade Skywalker – a descendant of Luke.

But what about other Star Wars family trees? Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley recently tackled that topic in a letter to the editor q&a.

1. Are we going to learn what happened to the Solo family of this time?

There are no plans for an exploration of the Solo lineage for the forseeable future. We’re not in denial about them, it’s just that there isn’t a place for them in the story. Yet.

2. Any chance of running into any other descendents of of any other Star Wars Characters?

Oh yes my friend. Oh, yes.

4. How long are we going to have to wait until we learn who Darth Krayt is under the mask?

The answer will be revealed in issue 15.

Jacen Solo is set to become a to be named Sith in the upcoming Star Wars Legacy of the Force Sacrifice book .

My guess is that Darth Krayt is a descendant of Jacen Solo.

Anyone want to take that bet?

It’s someone who’s a contemporary of Jacen Solo, but not Jacen Solo himself. I don’t know what’s going to happen to Jacen, but I know that the different-colored eyes is something they keep hinting at for a reason. I honestly don’t know, but whoever it is, it’ll be good. But I do know one other thing: it’s NOT Anakin Solo come back from the dead. That’s dopey. Dopey and dumb. I read that on another board and just about pulled a Jay and Silent Bob trying to hunt them down. No way are they bringing the youngest of the Solo children back.

ANAKIN IS DEAD. I keep hearing from certain posters that Lucas says he’s coming back. Read the back of “The Unifying Force” where they have the interviews of the authors and publishers. They specifically point out that Lucas opted for Anakin to die INSTEAD OF Jacen. Like it or not, fanboy, Anakin is dead.
With that out of the way, I can honestly say that I have NO IDEA who Krayt is, but I know for sure he’s not Ani the Second.

For further proof, read “The Process”‘s thoughts on tab # 66… Lucas killed Anakin Solo, and no matter how much his adoring fans wish it, a death brought on by the overwhelming power of Darth Lucas is FINAL.

I must say how totally delighted I am to be starting my journey into SW comics with *this series. It’s great to see so many accolades and supreme adjectives showered on Legacy! I am a serious SW fan, but never knew where to start with SW comics. Well, thanks to Karen Traviss’s Wess’har Wars novels, I got turned onto the Republic Commando books, and from there to the Clone Wars comics. (Although I have not yet read the Clone Wars). Last week I bought and am now 3/4 through the Legacy Vol.1 collection “The Broken,” and am just so frakkin /karkkin’ psyched!! I can’t wait to keep reading the rest, and to go back and read the Legacy of the Force books too, especially since Karen Traviss is among the authors of these too..

What if and this is a long shot but what if there is a connection between the Legacy series and the Knights of the Old Republic series. Maybe Zayn Carrick (sorry about spelling) is DK. Maybe the Rebellion series could be connected as well but I doubt it. However if the Knights of the Old Republic series isnt connected then I would say that the Dark Times series is connected with Legacy. For prove of that look at the cover of issue 6 of Dark Times. Jedi Master Krunkk (Sorry about spelling) is on it. Maybe his apprentice that he mentions he had in Legacy will be in it and that apprentice will be Krayt (Well before he became the sith lord). Once again a long shot but you never know. Well at least not until August 8 when DK’s identity is revealed.

khruuuuk’s apprentice probably krayt.i never read comics before legacy. dark empire….. but almost all the novels i read. i think now that its either a son of obiwans that he didnt know about or this hett guy. hes got the tats and if he fights obiwan in legacy 16 that would explain the fake eye and maybe his ilness. what are the powers that krayts trying to get back?

MrKaine's avatar 9. MrKaine - June 29, 2007

Krayt isn’t trying to get back any powers, he’s trying to find a way to live with the Symbiote armor that is slowly killing him.
