Star Wars Legacy which has often been reviewed here on ShowMeScifi is one of the best comic books today and likely the best Star Wars comic book series ever created.

Set far beyond any other Star Wars series -the only lineage connection we’ve had so far is Cade Skywalker – a descendant of Luke.

But what about other Star Wars family trees? Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley recently tackled that topic in a letter to the editor q&a.

1. Are we going to learn what happened to the Solo family of this time?

There are no plans for an exploration of the Solo lineage for the forseeable future. We’re not in denial about them, it’s just that there isn’t a place for them in the story. Yet.

2. Any chance of running into any other descendents of of any other Star Wars Characters?

Oh yes my friend. Oh, yes.

4. How long are we going to have to wait until we learn who Darth Krayt is under the mask?

The answer will be revealed in issue 15.

Jacen Solo is set to become a to be named Sith in the upcoming Star Wars Legacy of the Force Sacrifice book .

My guess is that Darth Krayt is a descendant of Jacen Solo.

Anyone want to take that bet?

I am not “The Process.” And Darth Who, stop slandering others and work on your grammar. Or do they not teach how to type at the same elementary school where you learned to hurl insults.
As far as ruining things go, that would be the pot calling the kettle black. I had moved on, but like a girl whose pipi-longstocking pigtails got caught in the door, you can’t help but squeal about things you can’t change.
Ironically enough, though, I agree with you that Darth Krayt’s armor might well be voxxyn.
But, since you were the one who decided to be petty, I again point out that you never answered any of my legitimate points (or Process’, for that matter; look at our URLs, you MORON, and you’ll see we’re not the same). You claim that Anakin is Darth Krayt on one forum, but say he’s gonna come back and kill Jacen in the other forum. It sounds to me like the little fanboy just never got over the fact that Lucas made the right move (for once) and killed his whiny ass.
And thank you, but no; I have no interest in the Transformers movie… I didn’t watch as a kid, and I probably won’t watch now. I was a Ninja Turtles fan myself, and I always thought a robot who hid as a dump truck or whatever the hell Optimum Prime is was a bit stupid. That’s my opinion, and others are entitled to theirs. But here’s a fact: you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. You need to stop polluting the net waves with your trash. Unless you have something worthwhile to contribute, shut up and let the big boys talk about important stuff.
By the way, big boys out there, does anyone know when the next Legacy of the Force book is scheduled to be released?

I believe its supposed to be released the end of August. The cover of Inferno (the next book) shows Luke on what appears to be a jungle world. Kashyyyk maybe? Anybody have any thoughts on that?

Dave the Insomniac's avatar 3. Dave the Insomniac - June 30, 2007

Kashyyyk is a good thought. I don’t think it’s necessarily Kashyyyk, though; maybe another jungle planet. Yavin 4, perhaps… but I think this novel will, most likely, be a slight let-down in terms of buildup. Not that it will be badly written… far from it; it will be done fantastically, as all the other LotF have been done so far. The problem is that it will have to strike a balance between the discovery that Jacen is a Sith Lord and the fallout from Mara’s death. They won’t just reveal Jacen as the culprit from the get-go, but at the same time, the final stages of the story can’t truly begin until they know. So, Inferno will most likely focus on two things: one, Luke’s anger (hence, the Inferno); and two, Jacen’s newfound power. One thing, regardless of anything else, will be cool: watching Darth Caedus play with his new ability to totally own face on the battlefield. It will be interesting to note whether or not this new skill will assist him in one-on-one duels or not. But this might (will) spell the beginning of the end for the Corellian Confederation.
Another question: it seems that, by a vast majority, most people favor the Jaina-Jag pair-up used in the NJO. Yet, it seems that a couple of the authors are bound and determined to make Jaina and Zekk a duo. I’m sorry, but I don’t want emo-jedi and Jaina together, and it seems like most everyone else doesn’t either. So, why the hell are they still toying with it? Are they just trying to build suspense, or what? Any intelligent thoughts?

I think Jaina and Jag do get together and change the Empire. The reason I think she doesnt get with Zekk is because he goes dark. Well that would be cool but he will probably get killed by Caedus defending Jaina.

Dave the Insomniac's avatar 5. Dave the Insomniac - June 30, 2007

Why do you think he goes dark? It’s an interesting idea… just wondering how you came to it?

mik's avatar 6. mik - June 30, 2007

Well I think we can all agree Jaina gets with Fel and therefore Zekk dies. If he didnt die then Jaina would not just pick one like that. Well she might because Zekk declared to her in Tempest that he didnt like her as more than a friend anymore. But in Sacrifice she tells Luke who is mourning Mara’s death she is gonna stop thinking about Zekk and Fel as possible lovers and focus on whats important. I am thinking Zekk will die by Jacen or be one of the Jedi to follow Jacen. The synoposis for Inferno says that Jacen is gonna try to take over the Jedi. Maybe Zekk who has always been a justice and by the book person will start to think Jacen can do more good as head of the Jedi, so he goes with him but in the process he falls to the dark side and gets killed. Even if he doesnt he most likely will die before the end of the series.

Ive got something. Now The New game Coming Out,The Force Unleashed.Has The Secret Apprentice’s Name kept Confidential. And No one knows Who Krayt is.
So what if Darth vader secret Apprentice was Krayt?

Just an idea..

mik's avatar 8. mik - June 30, 2007

I really thought about that and I dont think it is. That would be cool as hell but think about how much it takes to launch a multimedia project like the force unleashed. They would not include a character madeup in a Dark Horse comic series to be Vader’s secret apprentice, no matter how perfect Krayt would be for the role.

Yes I agree, no matter how much fanboys want Anakin Solo back that wont happen, but he wasnt the whiny bitch we thought, hey, he made the move to kill the Voxyn queen, Jacen was the whiny bitch then. but lets see now…… Zekk Dying I can see with Jaina choosing Jag later in the future. thats my speculation coz the of the Fel daughter in the Legacy comics. Krayts armor is definitly Vonduun Crab armor. but anywho again what the hell do I know. I just ready the stuff I dont fully just memorize the things. but I like how all is going MWahahahha

Mik, that’s a good thought on Zekk. I never considered it from that angle. I like Zekk as a character, I just don’t like him and Jaina together. I’m much more interested in the here and now stuff of LotF as opposed to the Legacy comic, mainly because I’ve become so invested in the characters over the last several years. I’m not as invested in the new characters of Legacy, except as in their relation to current figures.
