Remember 1981’s Clash of the Titans?
I sure do. Cheesy special effects and all, it’s a classic. And like all good classics it’s going to be remade.
But this remake is going to be written by Star Wars Episode V Empire Strikes Back Writer Lawrence Kasdan.
The original 1981 story revolves around Zeus’ son, Perseus, and his journey to save Princess Andromeda during which he must complete various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa and fighting the Kraken.
No word yet on when this beast will hit the screens or on who might be cast. Sir Lawrence Olivier was Zeus in the original – who’s gonna top that?
Here for your viewing enjoyment – the original 1981 trailer.

I just got this on DVD and watched it for the first time in years. Friggin’ awesome.
My question is, who can top the over the top cheesy performance of Harry Hamlin?
i had to watch this movie in school—i thought it was pretty crappy though. But i would go see it if it was remade. its one of those movies when the original sucked, but the remakes are awesome!!
best movie series:
pirates of the caribbean, star wars, the lord of the rings, indian jones, and star wars (its ssssoooo good it should be counted twice, savvvy?)
