Darth Solo – New Sith Lord’s name is now up for vote January 25, 2007

Regular readers of ShowMeSciFi have (hopefully) read my reviews of Star Wars Legacy of the Force books in which Jacen Solo (son of Han and Leia) is turning to the dark side.
Lucasfilm has been running a contest to help them decide what Jacen’s Sith name will be and they’ve now revealed their short list of names.
The finalist names are:
Darth Acheron (a river in Hell for those who deny justice),
Darth Caedus (a battle of darkness),
Darth Judicar (the final judge),
Darth Paxis (bringer of peace)
and Darth Taral (ancient Sith for “he who protects”).
Personally i’m voting for Darth Taral. Cast your vote at starwars.com

Has to be Darth Paxis (bringer of peace). The main reason Jacen started on this path was, and still is to bring peace to the galaxy. From as far back as The New Order books this has been Jacens main aim. It is only recently that he has become a protecor of sorts, because of his daughter and Tenal Ka.

I’m glad they chose Caedus, though personally I liked Paxis. Caedus fits his transformation into a Sith better. It’s what he is… a battle of darkness.
Caedus is a sucky name i was pulling for Paxis
