Battlestar Galactica Season 4 WILL BE THE LAST no and ifs or buts about it June 1, 2007

I don’t know why SciFi channel hates its fans so much.

We’ve known for some time that season 4 could be the last one, but instead of just admitting it, the show’s producers and SciFi have FRAKKED US OVER making us think there is hope.

“This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and, finally, an end,” Eick and Moore said in a statement Thursday. “Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end, and we’ve decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms. And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there — we’re going out with a bang.”

I don’t have a problem with the show ending. I do have a problem with this on again off again bs. Considering how poorly SciFi has managed to market and schedule this show over the past year you’d think they were trying to lose money and purposefully undercut the potential success of BSG…maybe it’s all just a cylon plot afterall.

Excellent. I’ve just gotten into the show – one of the most mind-blowing pieces of television I’ve ever watched – and am glad that the people running the show aren’t going to let it drag on and on and on…a definite end point means the show can bow out on a high note, rather than running the risk of becoming stale.

Sucks about the Scif-fi scheduling, but that doesn’t bother me as I plan to wait for the DVD releases.

After all this I can imagine what will happen to Dresden files….

I am beginning to agree with all those conspiracy theorists saying that you can always identify a GREAT show, because the Sci-Fi channel will be killing it, or taking it over from another channel, then killing it.

4. Battlestar Galactica Finale in 2009? « Show Me SciFi - September 6, 2007

[…] we all know now that that the next season is the last for Battlestar Galactica – apparently the season may well be split over the course of not one but two calendar years (2008 […]

Are people just plain nuts? You have a great drama about the strugle for human kind. NBC wants to pull the on this becuase of Heroes? How long do they think that’s gona last? If they end BSG then it should be done with the fans in mind. This is the first scifi, action, drama that has worked sence Babylon 5. EVEN that story it’s finished becauces the Turner net guys haven’t gotten of there ass to end the story line! So, to those that are listening out there, End it… Don’t leave the fan’s hanging on (NBC) like you did with “surface”, and “Quantum Leap”. Sh-t, Even the guys at Paremount had endings for ALL there Trek shows. Not having an ending to a story is as bad as having poor ratings at your network becauce the fans have lost yout trust. Oh, by the way, I can see how bad thing are at scifi network. It’s scifi not the wwf wrestling station! One more thing! Did SG1 beet the Oreye? That’s right!!!! SG1 is no more! Thank you for getting me hard and walking away with out my happy ending!!!!

Ok here is what i think , putting aside all the “internal voices” . Think of it this way if season 4 will be successful ,think schi-fi will abandon there only “good” show … it’s all about the $ not “internal voices” 🙂
