Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.

Jacen’s power can’t be over looked. With his capture and new abilities realized ( through Verger’s teachings ) and his growing knowlage of the force, which was already not to be taken lightly, he should prove to be a powerful Sith. YES, a powerful sith who will be able to turn such a good guy ( Ben ) into the REAL Lord of the Sith, as time go’s on. The tastles folks! I can’t believe it’s just talking about Caedus ( Jacen ). Perhaps, Caedus is just a foundation for the rise of a new Sith era. Remember what the Twilik found on Koriban or who was found rather. Hence a new Sith era. I’m reaking the book again, I was way to excited, and I think I missed a point during that visit to Koriban. From what I can remember, they didn’t care about what Caedus was doing. I just wonder if and when Lord Caedus meet these sith that he will be able to prove worthy of the title….Lord of the Sith. Yeahhhh, I’m into the sith. Balance is needed so I can’t hate the Jedi or there views and don’t. Both sides have points and with the introduction of the Vong, bringing that grey area to the whole concept, just reiteraits the fact that no side is more right than the other and that in fact: There is No One Right Way..
No right way!?!?!? Ha! So which is better killing someone for some money or asking for some money?!?!? There is a right and wrong way….(Quote time) “There is no good without evil…” (quote time over) Evil has *always* been apart of our culture as Human Beings. When you think of Vader or Sidious do you think, “Wow, they were on neither side… They didn’t kill people because they *Hated* them….They killed them for the good of the galaxy.” There *IS* a fine-line between Good and Evil – Light or Dark….
I just went to a bookstore today and I forced myself to page through Inferno. Now, I won’t spoil anyone who is actually reading this drivel, but to say the least I was very disappointed in the SW characters reaction to Mara’s death. I just cannot read another book in this series if it does not include her. Del Rey didn’t just weaken our hearts, but also the SW galaxy by breaking up formidable Team Skywalker.
When I really felt ill was when I read the interview of the current profic writers. One of them stated that they felt a death was needed to shake things up. Why? To prove good and evil? We already knew that difference with Anakin Skywalker, and he didn’t have to kill anyone he loves to become a Sith (though he did anyway without meaning to and then he really started killing)
I put the book back on the shelf and I’ll stick to writing my fanfic; a place where the fans actually KNOW these characters.
Don’t make Luke suffer like that bring Back Mara

Ok, sure, Someone said the Darkside was “better” (as in good for all) then that of Lightside. I was just ranting.

I WAS SO SHOCKED WHEN I READ SHE DIED I CHOKED AND RE-READ THE PAGE– THE REST OF THE DAY I WAS IN AGONY AND DESPARATION.
She can be brought back with the combined powers of all of our efforts we can do it.– I have been a fan of Star Wars all my life and have read 45 or so books –this is the Only decision I do not support as do the others on this page.
I will not write nasty things to the creators of this idea but please reconsider.
It saddens me to think thhat this is all I can do to bring back my favorite character from the beloved Star Wars saga….
I know it hurts Luke as well.
Please dont do this torture to us any longer.

I have been a fan for quite a while. I’ve just started reading these book after the L.A. Convention this last year. I was given book one. It was awsome. I’ve been into the expanded universe since I’ve played the KOTOR games. I was surprised how great a read these books are. My point? I haven’t grown up with Mira Jade like a lot of these fans here, so I can’t feel the same about this charater. Then I reread Sacrafic and realized how an importante figure ( balanced chrarter ) Mira Jade Skywalker was. Honestly, I think it’s too late to say ” Bring her back “, I think that would not do the series any good to go back on here death. We still have Jaina and Tenal Ka and also Mrs. Solo. I am very much looking forward to Fury to see if Ben will start his path toward the darkside. I think I’ve said it before about Ben being destined to be the next Sith Lord. I’m a Caedus fan definatly, and I want nothing more than to see him succeed in his endevor to bring balance and make a safe play to raise his little girl. My only request is that the authors create a stronge confident diologe for Caedus and no more of the old ” you ain’t seen nothing yet” type of stuff. This was said be Caedus after one of his officer comented to him that his grandfather would have done the same thing. If you read the book you know what I’m talking about. Other than that one line, I’m all about this series. I just think is wierd when folks from far far away speak like us.
It’s Mara not Mira… Mira is the caracter in KOTOR 2… Mara is Luke’s wife… Common mistake….
Raxus…you ol’……It’s cool to know that there are other out there who played the game. I shall keep that spelling in mind. Man, one more month or so and we will be talking about Fury! I REALLY can’t wait. I kinda wish I started this series later so I wouldn’t HAVE to wait but, that’s part of the fun. Strangely enough. And I have to admit, the more I read, the more I am not cool with Mara dieing. She was an awsome character. Though still how else is Ben going to become Lord of the Sith. Don’t get me wrong I DO think Jacen will make a great Sith Lord though, I do believe that he is a trailblazer and Ben will/is going to walking that same trail. Possibly.
