We always kinda/sorta thought that humans had caused the destruction that led to humanity’s decline in the original Planet of the Apes. After all, most of the planet is buried and even the Statue of Liberty was partially destroyed.
Now along comes the new prequel – Rise of the Planet of the Apes and sure we have Caesar the first ape..but..
he’s the one that helps to destroy humanity? does Caesar’s apes nuke us? or…?
I guess we’ll mostly have to wait until August 5th when this movie is out…and YES this is one prequel that we’re excited about.

Most SciFi fans will remember Charlton Heston’s SciFi career as being encapsulated in two critical scenes from The Planet of the Apes.
Heston was in other SciFi movies though including The Omega Man (which was remade in 2007 with Will Smith as I am Legend) He was also in Soylent Green.
For the final time here’s our fav two Heston clips…and get your dirty hands off me you damn dirty ape and they blew it up….
