Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

I fail to see why everyone is trying to convince me that Mara’s such a wildly fantastic character. You don’t think I know that? She’s of MY favorites, too. I can’t stand Leia, I hate Han, and half the time I can guess what Luke’s gonna say before he says it. But the fact that I think Mara’s a swell character doesn’t mean that Traviss/Zahn/Lucas/Tickle-Me-Elmo can’t decide to kill her off. I repeat: If you can’t handle the EU, and if you can’t handle not controlling every aspect of the EU, stop reading it!
You guys are pulling out argument and argument here. “Leia’s too weak a character to replace her!” “People can associate more with Mara!” “Her death was (in my completely-ignorant-of-anything-that- may-be-happening-later-in-LotF eyes) pointless and nonsensical!” But the final facts aren’t gonna change. You don’t write, work, draw, or interpretive dance for Lucas and associates. That means a) you don’t know how this has already been made to fit with future events, b) your opinion, while I suppose being worth SOMETHING, is worth just about the same as all those people demanding midichlorians be retconned out of existence, and c) rather presumptuous. I mean, I’m all for the “Respect the fans!” stuff, but again, you don’t get a vote. At all. End of story. No matter how many petitions, marches, and bumper stickers you make, YOU DON’T GET A VOTE. And for the love of god, get it through your heads that no one’s forcing you to read this! Jeez, you people act like Jacen’s gonna come out of the book and strangle you if you get annoyed and toss it aside. A book’s never gonna satisfy everyone, and if the people that can’t handle said book(namely, you folks) have any brains whatsoever, they’ll just STOP READING. “Oh no! Mara died? How pointless and nonsensical! What should I do? Make a petition? NO, HOW ABOUT I JUST NOT BUY LOTF: INFERNO AND SAVE EVERYONE THE TROUBLE OF BEING BITCHED AT?”

mara should be alive.the writers treat jaina like a piece of poodoo so she should’ve been the sacrifice. i like jaina but shes underused. mara at least was useful in the way that she helped luke see things that he wouldnt have without her.
i say we start a petition to stop kalira from buying star wars books since shes such an expert. let her write her own books that noone else will have to read.

Maybe not anything you read, but then again we’ve seen how well you handle decent writing. As for the headaches, go for Motrin, it’s what I reach for whenever I see you people. I’m pretty sure I DO have a right to “yammer on”; in fact, I bet it’s the same law that gives YOU the right to “yammer on”. I agree with you in that I doubt that anyone would mind if I didn’t buy Inferno, but I also doubt anyone would mind if I DID buy it, because I’m willing to bet no one gives a shit — not a poodoo, a shit, grow a spine — what I buy or don’t buy, or for that matter what YOU buy or don’t buy, so thank you for proving my point further. As for my crying, I’m not the one with a petition to bring back a fictional character. If Luke Skywalker or whoever gets killed off, I guarantee that I’ll be able to move on with my life somehow. Don’t they have support groups for you people?
I say you start that petition too, so that if you guys ever get serious I can bring it to court as evidence of mental incompetancy.

Mara’s death was COMPELETLY UNNESSACARY!!!!! I just read about it and I was so shocked!!! I loved that charactor because she could be sweet and caring and then, be ruthless and a grand saber deuler. I think they should revive Mara or something to bring her back. Sacrifice is in the “Ink” now…But, Maybe she can be resserected. I VOTE THAT THEY BRING MARA JADE SKYWALKER BACK!!!!!!!!!!
O and one other thing….. JEDI CAN USE THE FORCE TO HEAL THEMSELVES OF POISON!!! WTF!
