Star Wars Legacy – Is Darth Krayt a Jacen Solo descendant? March 29, 2007

Star Wars Legacy which has often been reviewed here on ShowMeScifi is one of the best comic books today and likely the best Star Wars comic book series ever created.
Set far beyond any other Star Wars series -the only lineage connection we’ve had so far is Cade Skywalker – a descendant of Luke.
But what about other Star Wars family trees? Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley recently tackled that topic in a letter to the editor q&a.
1. Are we going to learn what happened to the Solo family of this time?
There are no plans for an exploration of the Solo lineage for the forseeable future. We’re not in denial about them, it’s just that there isn’t a place for them in the story. Yet.
2. Any chance of running into any other descendents of of any other Star Wars Characters?
Oh yes my friend. Oh, yes.
4. How long are we going to have to wait until we learn who Darth Krayt is under the mask?
The answer will be revealed in issue 15.
Jacen Solo is set to become a to be named Sith in the upcoming Star Wars Legacy of the Force Sacrifice book .
My guess is that Darth Krayt is a descendant of Jacen Solo.
Anyone want to take that bet?

Oh, and two more I forgot to mention. Mace Windu or Kar Vastor (we don’t know what happened to Kar, and we never actually saw Mace die…)
Good theories Darth’ric. I like the Tank one (I posted that Krayt could be him a while ago) and I think that would be really cool if he was. He could probably be like Leia and not realize he is force sensitive until much later in his life. I doubt he is Darth Maul though it would make sense sort of if he was. I really think what happens in Dark Times will tie into Legacy some how.
IMO Krayt is probably some reincarnated Sith Lord from the “Old Sith Wars”. But if I had my choice who Krayt would be, I would hope he is Jaden Korr from the Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy Game 😀
Good theories mik and Hawken. I do think Legacy will tie into Dark Times (K’Kruhk in Issues 6+). Also Hawken about your “reincarnated sith”, I’m going to go out on a limb and say it could be Kaan. I mean, DK and Kaan kind of have the same form of order. Also explains more why Bane hates him. Oh and that Jaden Korr theory could work(did any of you notice that insider 88 pic. with the lightning letter J or T?).

No, no. I DECLARE, IT SHALL BE JENG DROGA!!! Look at the article on Wookiepedia (I know it’s not always credible). I agree it could be Cade (flow-walking or something), or maybe that Darrus Jeht. He was mentioned in the Darth Krayt week article, and he is VERY obscure (I didn’t even know about him till I read that). He had a ship called “Legacy”. That doesn’t seem like it could just be a coincedence… And after reading that article I think it could (somebody please tell me how to put in italics) be Anakin Solo (I’m not one of those obssessive idiots who thinks he didn’t die, but he died in strange circumstances and his and Krayt’s ideology is kind of similar).
Also…NO ONE HAD BETTER THINK IT IS BEN SKYWALKER. THERE IS NO WAY DEL REY WOULD DO THAT!!! And then I find out it is him…*arrgh!!!*. Also with Legacy, I hope they don’t act like LOTF never happened. I don’t want to have Krayt consciously go from yv war to Legacy. What I mean is I want him to have pulled all the strings with Jacen, working with Lumiya and/or Vergere. Say it were Hett: I don’t really want it to be him because he’s from the prequels, but I wouldn’t mind if he was behind Jacen’s corruption, and actually knew the NJO. Having said that, Kir Kanos would be good. And I above all else want him to appear in Lotf; not necessarily as Krayt but as the person who becomes Krayt.
I’ve heard that Jacen and DK (heh, what if it was Kyp, KD=DK) share the quote “Sometimes things must be broken in order to be rebuilt”. When did Jacen ever say that? Whoever writes the next textbox, please tell me. Also, it’s been said that Krayt could have been influenced by Jacen. What if Krayt influenced Jacen??? Jacen was gone for about 5 years. He could have reached Korriban or somewhere, and Krayt or the person who became Krayt could have said that. Just a thought. Or Krayt could be a flow-walking Kol (they probably showed his body so no one would think that). How is it pronounced; Kohl or Kahl or Call?

It can’t be Ben cause he didn’t know the Jedi Knights of the old Republic. It Can’t be Jacen because We now know that he is Dart Caedus and it would be stupid to change his name. Just to raise some questions, whatever happened to Assaj Ventress? She never really died that we know of. I’m hoping that she’ll appear in LOTF books as, like, Lumiya’s accomplise or somethin. That would be cool. Like an all female Sith order:Vergere, Lumiya, and Assaj Ventress. That would totally kick butt!
