forceunleashed.jpgWe’ve been waiting for this for a long time. IN fact almost since the day the Wii launched fans have been begging for the ultimate Star Wars experience on the Wii.

We now know when it’s coming: Spring 2008.

That’s when The Force Unleashed hits the Wii with an exclusive dual mode option that will let you wield your Wiimote the way it was intended – as a lightsaber!!!!

“The Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console’s motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life,” said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts in a statement. “We’ve worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force.”

The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will also add an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends to determine the ultimate Jedi Master.

If you didn’t have a reason for owning a Wii before – now you do.

I think this the only reason why I would by the Wii. Any chance to really interact with the Star Wars universe in this manner is high in my book. Any chance of seeing any footage with the lightsaber interaction with the Wii?
