We’ve now (hopefully) all see the final episode of Battlestar Galactica Blood and Chrome.

WHAT A FRAKKING AWESOME SHOW.

From beginning to end we had action, drama and were completely engaged. No we did not see the double cross coming with Bekka – that was a neat thing.

We also didn’t think Cocker would live. We were sure he was dead – so seeing him at the very end was really cool thing and gave this show a really nice happy ending.

It was also cool to hear the voice of Number six herself – Tricia Helfner – as the cylon hybrid snapping Bekka’s neck.

And oh yeah Husker’s got his own viper!!

So will this show – get picked up? WE SURE HOPE SO. No doubt this Machinima Prime thing was a test case..no idea if NBC Universal made the money they need…we sure hope they did and will continue to watch this show.

SO SAY WE ALL!!

In March of this year, SyFy (you know that network that used to be SciFi Channel and now doesn’t support any real SciFi) CANCELLED the Battlestar Galactica spinoff – Blood and Chrome.
Turns out though that a full pilot has already been produced and we can all see it on Friday November 9th — or at least start to see it.
You see the plan from the braniacs at Syfy is to have Blood and Chrome show up as a webisode series. Remember, that back in February of 2011, SyFy green lit the two hour pilot. At the time SyFy wrote:

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful Battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly find himself at odds with Coker (Ben Cotton), the battle-weary officer to whom he reports. With 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine mission turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

Joining Pasqualino and Cotton in the cast is Lili Bordan, who will play Dr. Beka Kelly, a Ph.D. who worked for Graystone Industries that created the Cylon robots. Currently assigned to a secret military mission, Beka and Adama quickly establish a rapport.

Battlestar Galactica also has a history with Webisodes. Back in 2008, when the show was in one of its lost intra-season hiatuses, we got an aweome webisode series called ‘Face of the Enemy‘. Even earlier, back in 2007 we had the Razor Flashback webisodes, including one that serves as the touchstone for what Blood and Chrome is all about. Adama fighting in the first Cylon war.

We can hardly wait to see Blood and Chrome – and it’s hard to believe that SyFy did not go ahead and produce a full series.

Not that any of us really need more proof – but SYFY Channel has no interest in scifi.

SyFy has just CANCELLED the Battlestar Galactica Blood & Chrome show – before it even aired.

They’re keeping the pilot as a standalone, but no show.

that’s right! the Frakkers have FRAKED us BSG fans yet again.

This show was the only good thing coming to SyFy that we were excited about and they killed it.

FRAK YOU SYFY.

The toasters are coming back!! and we’re hoping that that frakkers at SyFy deliver this time..and from all reports thus far it looks like they will.

Filming has now begun on Blood and Chrome which is all about ..the blood of the humans and the chrome of the cylons mashing it up in a mano – a – toaster battle to the death.

Alessandra Torresani wants to be Wonder Woman?

RLY?

Maybe…the former Zoe Greystone of Caprica fame recently updated her Twitter pic to the one left.

We like Torresani – but let’s face it Caprica sucked – her character was interesting but poorly written.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and this wonder woman wannabe will get  a role in Blood and Chrome –

Caprica CANCELLED – Blood and Chrome a GO!! October 28, 2010

Finally the frakking nightmare is over and SyFy has put Caprica out of its misery.

“We appreciate all the support the fans have shown for ‘Caprica’ and are very proud of the producers, cast, writers and the rest of the amazing team that has been committed to this fine series,” said Mark Stern, executive vice president of original programming at SyFy, in a statement. “Unfortunately, despite its obvious quality, ‘Caprica’ has not been able to build the audience necessary to justify a second season.”

Caprica had a great premise and a fine cast.

The problem was the fact that the story was too frakking slow and even after the 1.5 season re-started it didn’t get better. Each episode was more boring and tedious than the next.

Yes WE WANT TO KNOW how the Cylons were created and make war on the colonies.

YES we want to know what happens…but that now doesn’t seem likely to happen — on TV at least.

If we could get a book or comic book of caprica or heck even a made for TV move – The First Cylon War – we’d be happy.

Yes Caprica deserved to be canceled, but it does leave those of us that did invest our time in the show with a really empty feeling – in terms of plot direction.

Sure there were some basic connections to Battlestar Galactica, but just like Starbuck being an Angel – Caprica just didn’t make sense.

On a positive note – we will get some BSG action – Blood and Chrome another BSG prequel has been greenlighted by SyFy.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20’s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet… the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet.
