Star Wars Legacy – Is Darth Krayt a Jacen Solo descendant? March 29, 2007

Star Wars Legacy which has often been reviewed here on ShowMeScifi is one of the best comic books today and likely the best Star Wars comic book series ever created.
Set far beyond any other Star Wars series -the only lineage connection we’ve had so far is Cade Skywalker – a descendant of Luke.
But what about other Star Wars family trees? Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley recently tackled that topic in a letter to the editor q&a.
1. Are we going to learn what happened to the Solo family of this time?
There are no plans for an exploration of the Solo lineage for the forseeable future. We’re not in denial about them, it’s just that there isn’t a place for them in the story. Yet.
2. Any chance of running into any other descendents of of any other Star Wars Characters?
Oh yes my friend. Oh, yes.
4. How long are we going to have to wait until we learn who Darth Krayt is under the mask?
The answer will be revealed in issue 15.
Jacen Solo is set to become a to be named Sith in the upcoming Star Wars Legacy of the Force Sacrifice book .
My guess is that Darth Krayt is a descendant of Jacen Solo.
Anyone want to take that bet?

It never said anywhere that Krayt knew the Jedi of the Old Republic, just from old, which could be Luke’s order. And I don’t know how you interpreted this or anything but just to make this clear to everyone I DO NOT THINK IT IS BEN!!! I think Jacen’s more likely than Ben, and Jacen is Darth Caedus (sounds like Cade… is it pronounced Ky-dus?)

I really dont care who DK is just that Legacy and LOTF connect somehow . If they dont I think a lot of fans will be angry and so because of that the creators wouldnt do it in the first place, but who knows. They will connect somehow. Also have any of you guys heard about that Star Wars Insider article called Vader’s Legacy. So far no one knows what insider issue it will be published in but it is supposed to be some sort of LOTF tie in and high lights Vader’s dark legacy. AND it will include the name of the force sensitive female Vong (Vongerella or however you spell it, isnt her actual name). Hopefully that will shed some light on things.
Mik, if you get that issue, please post what number it is, and what Vongerella’s name is (spelled correctly).
Also, has anyone beside me thought about the Darth Maul theory? I’m not actually counting on it happening, my I just want to know if anyone thought about it.
Does anyone agree with my theory about the lightning in the In. 88/Legacy 0 picture of Krayt?

And I agree with your thoughts about Legacy and Lotf, Mik. They have to connect somehow. That’s why I have a minor problem with krayt possibly being and old republic jedi (Hett).
Krayt could also be K’Kruhk’s apprentice he takes to the Hidden Temple after Or. 66 (-New essential chronology).
Thats most likely who he is gonna end up being. However that apprentice can be many different people. Hett, Vos, or Vos’s son are all canidates. I dont think DK will be Kir Kanos. What I am really thinking is that during or slightly before the Vong War Vererge (sorry about spelling), Lumiya, and DK all met together somehow and made some sort of agreement about the future of the galaxy and how to bring peace. Maybe they all saw a threat after the Vong War that the galaxy needed to be prepared to face. Lumiya and Vererge could of gone first and tried to strengthen the galaxy by using Jacen Solo. Obviously that fails and now its DK’s turn.

Also, K’Kruhk’s apprentice I think is a Padawan according to the article, so it wouldn’t be Hett or Vos. And I don’t remember Republic 83, but Vos would be with his son, unless in Darktimes 6…
Ya but from my memory I dont think they ever said when exactly K’Kruhk took his apprentice but we do know its during the Dark Times and thats a time span of well around 19 years. Theres many possible choices.
