Star Wars Legacy – Is Darth Krayt a Jacen Solo descendant? March 29, 2007

Star Wars Legacy which has often been reviewed here on ShowMeScifi is one of the best comic books today and likely the best Star Wars comic book series ever created.
Set far beyond any other Star Wars series -the only lineage connection we’ve had so far is Cade Skywalker – a descendant of Luke.
But what about other Star Wars family trees? Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley recently tackled that topic in a letter to the editor q&a.
1. Are we going to learn what happened to the Solo family of this time?
There are no plans for an exploration of the Solo lineage for the forseeable future. We’re not in denial about them, it’s just that there isn’t a place for them in the story. Yet.
2. Any chance of running into any other descendents of of any other Star Wars Characters?
Oh yes my friend. Oh, yes.
4. How long are we going to have to wait until we learn who Darth Krayt is under the mask?
The answer will be revealed in issue 15.
Jacen Solo is set to become a to be named Sith in the upcoming Star Wars Legacy of the Force Sacrifice book .
My guess is that Darth Krayt is a descendant of Jacen Solo.
Anyone want to take that bet?

Yeah, it says in all non-wookie. sources that Krayt was “born into a galaxy deeply fractured by civil war and Yuuzhan Vong invasion”, so it could be talking about actual and sith births.
It also says Krayt’s a cunning tactitian with a deep knowledge of the art of warfare. Hett, Kanos, Jacen, Anakin Solo, etc.
So technically we all have no clench of any idea as to who Krayt could most certainly be. He could turn out to be anyone…but seeing as he is called Krayt, has the vong armor…(stuff) were does he fit in such a galaxy? As far as his past goes?
Luke or Jacen. On darkhorse.com in yet another DK article, randy stradley said “what, no love for porkins?”. THAT COULD BE A MAJOR CLUE. He knew Luke (probably), and was in a very stretched way connected to the Empire (they blew him up). Strandley also said “I’m kicking myself that we didn’t turn Porkins’ jet frozen remains into Krayt”… or did he?!? Think about it. Jet frozen- cryogenic stasis? Afterall in Legacy 1 and 12 (I think) Cade is seen floating in space, therefore making it possible. REPLY TO THE FOLLOWING: His first name is Jek, which starts with “J”, and that looks like the oddly shaped lightning in Insider 88’s Krayt picture.
Well, thats a really big stretch if you ask me. And I mean, Porkins? Of all people? But I do see that it is (could be) a clue to the identity of Krayt. Seeing as Porkins knew, Biggs, Luke, etc., Krayts certainly coming from Tatooine. But that’s all I can guess and I did check out the “J” hypothesis you came up with too, pretty interesting that you noticed that.

What do ya’ll think of this? I found this while I was randomly searching stuff, its a poll located somewhere of who people thing is Krayt…guess who had the most votes so far?
we find out on wednsday but until then i will stick up for hett.
of course i have to say anakin solo. bring back anakin,forget mara jade
why the fu@* does leia get three kids while luke, the greatest star wars character ever, only get one?
Thanks for noticing the lightning thing Waverider. I didn’t want to be the only one. It also look like a T. Such as Tank, Tholme, Tao. What about Jorin Sol? It could also be, and this would be a bigger stretch than the Porkins theory, an L (Luke). Maybe Raynar or Ganner (though if it were Ganner that would totally suck).
And who’s the guy talking to Naxy in Leg. 2? He looks like Nihl without the makeup, or a disguised Krayt.
Of those you mentioned with the “T”‘s i would put my money on Tholme and Tank. Jorin Sol would be a shocker though…I read somewhere earlier that it could be Luke also. But aside from the lighting theory, i was wondering…what if they have brought back Anakin Solo? I mean considering his history with the Vong,( vong armor on krayt) Anakin did get an implant graft didnt he? next he has a connection with Tatooine i.e., Tahiri who was raised by tuskens…speculation abounds that Obi wan could be her grandfather…hmm or it could be Hett.. who all has had a Genuine oppurtunity to destroy the Skywalker lineage? Lets think shall we? Hett knows that Anakin fell to the darkside and knows all to well that more skywalkers could be used by the emperor to serve his will? He had the chance to kill a child/teen luke but Obi acting as guardian saves the day and drives Hett deeper into the darkside? is that possible?
