Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

I fee that Jason solo’s killing of Mara was the final straw!!! Jacen Solo has never been that great of a character to begin with! To kill Mara in what would call “hair pulling contest”, is stupid and shows the fans how (I feel) that the some of the writers are sub-par in the star wars universe. I am not sure if I will buy the next book. Sorry but the last book sucked to me!
Ih opoe in the future this kind of mistake will be avoided! but it probabiliy won’t. Sorry I am just tired of the direction i see the EU has taken lately. I just do not see how jacen is soo powerful?????. Someone please explain to me how the new Masters have not bee n able to sense is his change to the darkside? I just do not get it!!!!!!!

Yeah, she’s fairly careful in always saying she can’t read fanfiction, etc., so I asked around, and it’s a common thing with big series like Star Wars.
I have a question for you people, since you seem to know a lot about EU. Where can one find the story of Mara and Lando (it is mentioned in Vision of the Future)?
i’ve been looking for years. the closest i came was children of the jedi.
Mara and Lando? Isn’t that in KJA’s books? Jedi Academy or whatever? It had “jedi” in the title and it was by Anderson, ergo I stayed away from it like my life depended on it. So I’m not really sure. But I think it’s his three that they go off roaming the galaxy together in.
I’m finally back….It was a LONG 5-day-week but, I’m rarin’ to go! They probilly planned Mara’s dead during th Yuuzahn Vong war….I wouldn’t be surprized… I once read this article about Anakin Solo…From what I remember… It said something in the effect that…George Lucus really didn’t want him to die… He just wanted him NOT to be the one who would restored balence to the force…(stay with me I’m getting to the point) It ALSO said That George Lucas DIDN’T like to kill charactors!!!! WTF! Doesn’t like to kill Charactors….Then Please George…explain to me why you alowed them to kill Mara, Huh? Now if you want the “Support” it’s on Wikipedia and/or Wookiepedia on the “Did you know…” kinda thing…

As much as I HATE that Mara died, I understand the reasoning behind it. She was the logical choice because you can’t kill off Luke, Leia, or Han! I was about as upset about this as I was when Chewie got killed(and was just mad when Anakin died b/c that meant Chewie died for nothing!).
But has anyone noticed the “trend” with these newer series? They start of god-awful depressing and make you feel like there is no possible way for it to end well and about half-way through the series, it starts to pick back up and the good guys start winning!
Mara is one of my favorite characters and I’m not positive she’s gone for good; who knows what will happen in the future books?! But if they keep her gone, I’m positive that her death will be the catalyst for something big. But for real, someone needs to kick Jacen’s arse!
Hey, I read up on almost all of the famous Sith…NONE of them made a Sacifice!!!! Darth Bane…no…They just came up to him and said “You want to be a Sith?” He said, “Sure!!!” Darth Vader…no…He was pronunced Sith right after Sidious threw Mace Windu out the window…. Revan…and Malak..NO…they desided to go and find the Star Forge then just pronunced themselves Sith!!!! Appentlly, you don’t NEED to sacrifice anyone…Either Lumiya was lying to Jacen just so he could kill one of the Skywalkers/Solos or Del Rey or whatever Publisher they used MADE IT UP!!!! What doyou guys think??? ‘Cause I’m confused….
