Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

I don’t know about the “sacrifice”, but I suppose there are varied methods of Sith teaching styles just like Jedi teaching styles. After all, you’ve got Palpatine’s “let me manipulate you into becoming evil while pretending to be all buddy-buddy” vs Kreia’s “hey, let’s go destroy the Force.”
Right now I’m trying to convince myself Caedus will be dead by the end of LotF.
Well…I geuss the authors don’t read other authors work…Or they don’t really care who lives or dies…
Oh, to the response to: “Old time Star wars Fan”…As yoda said in AotC, “The Dark- Side clouds everything…Impossible to see the future is.” That is why the masters couldn’t have feel Jacens turn to the Dark-Side…
i’m in Asia, been waiting for Sacrifice, now I think I’ll skip the series altogether. I have bought every single one of star wars, and i have been entertained, the good guys have setbacks but they triumphed in the end. I will miss Mara’s caustic wit especially her interaction with luke, her playfull teasing of luke and her daring bravado. dont you forget her soft parts also – specter of thrawn duology? ah mara, i will give up star wars for you.

and in the spoilers maras body does disapper in the force
it looks like if we hear from her again it will be as a force ghost

bring her back, kill Leia or someone else close to Jacen. I liked her character, yeah I know all of Lukes relationships have been plagued by death or something else has caused it to fail (because or reasons Mara gives in Vision of the future) but hey Luke has turned out good. I also think that by killing her the writers have also brought Luke closer to the dark side, closer than when he was the Palpatine’s apperentice, because he took revenge on Lumiya

oh so for those of you who are keeping count..that means this thread has had more comments than the petition has had ‘petitioners’.
Can’t say we’re surprising or disappointed even – you never know with a petition..sometimes they take off for no good reason. Other times (as is the case here) they languish, even though they shouldn’t

*runs and hides* Don’t want to know. Just don’t. Enjoyed having the pants surprised off of me too much with Sacrifice(the ending notwithstanding…).
Although having seen the cover I’m willing to bet the vast majority of the book is people worrying about whether Luke’s falling to the Dark Side. *rolls eyes* Sheesh. Jedi.
