Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

Well here i am trying to be serious about trying to bring back a
character which we all agree we want to see again and there always
a smart ass out there who would rather fight than to be serious about trying to bringing mara back.
as i said before all this flaming isnt going to get us anywhere

Does anybody wonder about the flow-walking thing Cadeus does? Well, I do. I’m not quite sure which purpose this part of the story arc may serve, but what if he has a sudden change of heart in invincible (if he is redeemed) and decides to fix the mess he’s caused? He could flow walk back to the fight with Mara and take her away with him to the current time line before his old self kills her. Or maybe Ben (or Luke) learn how to do it and bring Mommy back. Maybe just wishful thinking but I still have hope that in the end everything will work out fine (which is not really easy, given the Legacy comics). I mean that’s not the way it’s supposed to be – is it? Chewbacca had a heroic death, Anakin went out in a blaze of glory but Mara didn’t. The way she died is just not fitting, it doesn’t feel right. Personally I can’t stand the thought of seeing Jacen being redeemed or even alive at the end of LOTF if Mara stays where she is now π but that’s just my opinion. Jeremy talked about parts of sacrifice being story telling mastery and I agree with that. Of course her death was supposed to tear the Skywalker-Solo Clan apart. But what about the time after LOTF? Everything seems pretty dark and f**** up now. Do we really want to see them treat each other with guilt and pain or do we want them to be a family again in the future? This thing still needs some kind of closure, the funeral is not enough. (I didn’t read Inferno, I’m just spoiled rotten) I don’t know what is still to come but it is surely not over and remember her last words: “Luke will crush you… and I refuse… to let you… destroy the future… for my Ben”. To me this sounds like a kind of prophecy. So I hope and pray for her to come back. If she doesn’t I hope they kill Luke too in Invincible (and he is my favourite character beside Mara). They have been a team for so long, I just can’t see him going on alone….
showmescifi can you start a petition to ban wookiepedia? its destroying people. read the thrawn part and please tell me where the hell they got some of that stuff.the inferno spoilers are too good to mention if they are real which i dont believe until i read it.

I just picked up inferno today and in the book there is an interview with the authors who are writing the series and in it they asked who idea it was to kill off mara
it was KAREN TRAVISS idea to kill off mara
SHE SAID SHE CAME UP WITH THE IDEA 3 YEARS AGO !!!
and thats why she wrote sacrifice and not timothy zane.

I heard on an interview with Karen Traviss that it was her idea to kill Mara Jade and it was mentioned again in the interview at the end of Inferno. Mara was Timothy Zahn’s favorite character, and he should have been the one to kill her off. But it was a stupid idea to kill her off. BRING MARA BACK!
What the HELL????? She made that idea three fricken years ago??? Timoty Zane should take over the lotf series! He’s a beter writer than those cheep rip-off artists that call themselves Authors!!!! They OFFICALLY ruined Star Wars!!!!
Oh and sorry to say this infront of those “Jacen-lovers” (if there are any….) He’s a sith…he’s not turning back…Proof? Look at the cover or Revalations the second to last book….He looks really “Sithy”….Sorry but, Jacen is gone…. and so is Mara now…. Thanks to him…..
Karen Traviss is one stupid, “ugly” wh.re(i’m sorry for that words but this is true).She came with the idea to kill Mara three years ago-that is the stupidest thing that i ever heard. I’m agree-if anyone have the moral right to kill Mare Jade-this is only Timothy Zahn. But i am sure that he will never do such stupid thing. The death of Mara is unnecessary,meaningless and etc. I’ve signed the petition and i’m with you guys-whatever you do.I live in Europe and i can’t do much, but i support you with all my heart- Mara is my favourite heroine in SW and I WANT HER BACK. Bring her back!Bring her back !She don’t deserve such stupid death.
