Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

By the way…the small needle that Jacen supposedly used to inject the poison was 10cm long. Now, unless this is a misprint, that means 4 inches long. I don’t think Mara would have missed seeing that. Somebody not clear about how the metric system works?
And Kalira, we do want you in the company, we all try to be grown ups, even though the loss of Mara still hurts. That’s the beauty about fiction, one reacts to characters as if they are real people.
Ok! I want say to you few words Kalira. I don’t know you personally and you don’t know me personally too. That is why I want to settle myself- I’m not a person that confess easily his own mistakes. When I do this however- I do it always truly . When I said-“I was wrong-you are absolutely right”- I mean it . I know that is totally incorrectly to say such words for someone- no matter how I feel in the moment. But if you don’t accept my appolgy- ok. Btw my apology is not personally for you- it’s for Karen Traviss, because I insulted her. I’m sorry for my words and if you don’t understand that – your job ! If you think that I am like people that you described –your job, your mistake- because I’m not !. Eough whit this because I don’t want argue with you – you are right to be angry or dissatisfied in this case.
But I tell you something- you remind me of one of my friends. When I say something- he frequently take only one of my words and say – “ your opinion is incorrect, stupid and etc.”
When I say – “ Karen Traviss have no moral right to kill her” – I mean exactly this . If they want to kill Mara Jade, they should hire for this T.Zahn , because he is her creator. Yes you are right that KT was hired to write this book when one FC must die, and she did exactly this for that she was hired. But between “moral rights” and “ rights, given to someone to do something”- I see difference. If you don’t see the difference, I can’t do anything for that.
And only one more thing – I was agree with ODA, “That’s the beauty about fiction, one reacts to characters as if they are real people.” . I know that MJS is fictional character, I know that she hasn’t real feelings and etc. But this is not the point- I think that the autors must respect their works each other- because when someone create one character, he can’t write
always books for him. Of course there are other autors that was hired for this job-ok, I understand that. But why must every autor do things so much different- because in – “Sacrifice” I didn’t see MJS that everybody know. This is my big note against this book. Yes-every author have point of view-I respect that. But in that case this point of view is totally inexplicable.
It’s just as if the kryptonite doesn’t have influence on Superman ( and all we know that this is not right). And my note is not only against Karen Traviss- my note is against everybody that is responsible for this books. I want more realism, consistency, continuity in this books . Is that so much , I don’t think so. This is my point of view- and I don’t think to change it ! I hope that this time I’ll be understood correctly ! Peace !

I have been begging, pleading with everyone on this board to
to please keep/have a civil tone to each other.
And in case you havent noitced kalira vikihill96 has been apologizing
for here comments ever since.
Now while i cant speak for everyone on this board i accepted her apology because i am also guilty of saying dumb,stupid things like that when i have been mad/angry.
Is it gotten to a point in this day and age where an apology isnt enough?
I like to think that in so far as in this case it should be.
Because are you really going to tell me that you personally havent made a similar comment about something that made you angry
and that later you didnt deeply regret it afterward?
Lord knows i have done it on more than one occasion and didnt feel
like an asshole afterward.
It is already apparent that vikihill96 feels like shit over this and the last thing she needs is for everybody to get on here about this and
move on.
And i will keep saying this until i am blue in the face
but if this keeps up it will be lucasfilm and del rey that will get the last laugh.

But i thank you for the support and i say it one last time- sorry for my first words against KT. I like very much the FICTIONAL CHARACTER Mara Jade . I like many others female fictional characters – I like Cate Archer( the game “No One Lives Forever), i like Rayne from ” Blood Rayne” and many ,many others. I know that they’re not real , but this don’t change the fact that i like this fictional characters. And finally – i admit -yes, I’m not agree with things in “Sacrifice”, I’m not agree with death of Mara, i’m not agree that she desrve this stupid death, but this is reality and i accept the fact that she was killed by Jacen(for now). However i hope like you bruce that we dont have seen the last of Mara Jade Skywalker.

My full name is victor- caressingly- “viki” and “hill” is to my favourite pilot in Formula 1- Damon Hill. He won the world title in 1996 year- from there is 96- briefly- vikihill96. And no problem- i’m not laugh too hard(“laugh”). And I hope that we will get the last laugh in this case here- soon or later because i’m not a person that give up so easily. Yes- the publishing house, the autor have the right to kill someone fictional person(in this case – Mara Jade), but guess what people-our right is to be dissagree with this.
Come on people, let’s stop fighting, it will not get us anywhere. Anybody read Inferno? I just finished it and what can I say? I’m disappointed. The funeral seemed rushed, a bit odd and strangely out of place. It didn’t honor our favorite redhead the way it should have. It was more like; Damn, Mara is dead – well, s*** happens. Let’s get through this stupid ceremony and go back to our daily routine. Nobody seems to be affected by her death at all, except Ben. Surely, she gets mentioned from time to time, but what I miss is the lingering aftermath of tragedy that should follow a big event like that. The fact that it is not there, makes her death even more senseless in my eyes. But maybe it’s just me – this book didn’t get under my skin. The only ray of hope was Luke coming finally to his senses (kind of) and showing that he is still the grandmaster. Also, I liked Ben in this one.
I’m not sure at the moment if I am going to finish this series, I think I can not stand this dark and depressing stuff any longer because I’m sick and tired of it. Let’s face it: The EU we knew and loved is dead. It fell seriously ill after the hand of Thrawn duology, was wasting away during the NJO and died a slow and painful death through LOTF, drawing it‘s last breath with Sacrifice and Inferno. Star wars is not longer what it used to be, a beautiful fairy tale about the good guys winning. What we have here is not only a strong fictional character dying but the essential core of Star Wars itself – the magic is gone.
Is there still hope? I don’t know. But I still do believe the flow-walking with Tahiri was just meant to set up the stage for something bigger… The hints are there but perhaps the authors are just playing with us. Or maybe someone’s going to push the big „reset-button“ and we’ll get SW EU reloaded ;-). Just open your mind a bit and think about the possibilities, they could do almost everything. Would that be good or bad? Hm, I am not sure about that, but on the other hand: Isn’t everything better than what we have now? Sorry about the whining but I’m in a very sentimental mood right now and just felt the need to share my thoughts with you….

As i said in my previos post that even the smallest changes can
have a drastic effect on the timeline.
And maggies right it does look like they are setting us up for a drastic shift in the star wars eu
I think we all can agree that Anakin and Maras death was wrong
If they do decide to hit the reset bottom then the flow walking /
timetravel aspect is the best way to do it.
And lets face it if they decide to bring Anakin or Mara back in that manner it will change everything.

May be del rey has gotten the message and decided a change in direction is needed.
I sure hope maggie right the star wars eu has gotten stale
and i think this would be the shot in the arm it needs.
Kalria, me and you have had our minor and large battles/scuffles but, I have forgiven you to the full intent. i’m a cristian and that’s how my belief and religion works… Turn the other cheek and forgive those who were just angry at the time… Bruce: I pray to gawd that we can either change the authors minds or they have already changed their minds… The last book in the series is called “Invicible” Maybe it’s refering to Mara… or it could be refering to Jacen (the little bugger). Only the authors know… Sadly, maggies correct… the EU is at its last breaths… Now that “Flow- walking” or as I like to call it “Time Reversal”. The EU becoming a bit monotonous with the same old characters fighting the almost same people. George Lucas knows this. (You want to know how I know this?) George Lucas is making a new series (2009) about the minor characters of the SW Universe… All of the old characters are dieing and I’m losing intrest in the “Jacen Crisis” which has been going on since the middle of the Yuuzahn Vong (You-zaHan-vong) war…
