Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

Hey, I finally got a response from one of the addresses I’ve been sending stuff to. Basically it referenced me to http://www.randomhouse.com/delrey/starwars/sw_legacy.html and said it should be able to answer any questions I may have lol.
Yeah, I just went there, and it does not seem to answer much.
lol, of course it doesn’t answer much all it is is the site that was advertising the books when they were coming out and what not. I’m not sure but it may have been the same site that did the stupid junk like choosing the new “Sith Lord’s” name. They aren’t even clever in their brush offs.
On a side note maybe someone else could tell me; I prefered Jacen Solo as “the future” as it were, I don’t really understand why anyone would have disliked the Mara character enough to want them dead either but why do so many people so irate over Anakin being dead in Star by Star? I was reading some threads on the swtor forums and damn but people get uptight about him in particular and I don’t understand why, seemed like a two dimensional mini-Luke at best to me with half the background of his siblings.

Two words people: “Alternate reality!”
It worked for Star Trek! Though admittedly Abrams took that route mostly to avoid continuity issues. If we were to do it in this case, it’s more about fixing the EU and the characters therein than anything else. Still, I’m sure most of you would agree that such a goal is noble.
And leaving the EU with our heroes and heroines in shambles is noble? The group of writers for LOTF wrote themselves into a hole with all the major deaths that shouldn’t have happened and the FOTF is DR’s way of digging out of that hole. Instead of backtracking and retconing like crazy, I’m all for an official Alternate Reality in Star Wars. Hey, they did it with the Infinities series. Why not the NJO, LOTF, and beyond?
Personally I would rather see them retcon the series rather than an alternate reality because if they had to fix what they broke they would be less likely to so handily break it again whereas if they can just “redo” everything with an alternate reality even if they do it from the end of the NJO (because LOTF was the worst writing in the history of writing.)
The way Delrey works they’ll simply have a multitude of alternate realities that will be damn near impossible to keep track of after every screw up they have, throw in the foisting of comic books and video games into the mix and I think it would just enable them to open the seventh gate and usher in the end of days.
Retcon, alternate reality, it’s all good. Either way, the problem needs to be fixed, right?
