Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

Now i been hunting around the web and i havent seen much of a negative reaction about her death.
Thats has got to change if we have any chance of bringing her back
everybody including me has got to get the word out about this and start to create a groundswell of support to bring mara jade back
Try by starting to talking to any star wars fans you know and see if you can get them to sign the petition
Also i know this is the age of texting and email but you might want to try actullay writing a letter to lucasfilm and del rey
trying telling them how disappointed you were about her death
and ask them to reconsider bring her back
The key word is ASK
Dont send them a profanity laced letter or you will not get there attention
You will get more of a positive reaction because your showing them
you took the time to write them and tell them how disappointed you
where about what happen to her in the book
Thats how the fans of jerico did it
There was a massive letter writing campain and they got it done
If everybody in the star wars community did the same thing it would get done
So lets stop fighting each other and get this done
In the end it comes down to the same question i have asked before

For the sake of civility, I should mention that in my experience the best way to get a corporation’s attention is by phone. In person they’ll call the cops, and email they’ll just sort and send back form responses. But if you get even 70 people complaining to them by phone, they’ll certainly realize there’s an issue.
vader helped kill mace windu and then went to the jedi temple and killed alot of jedi.a room full of younglings too. that combined with turning his back on obiwan was his sacrifice. therefore jacens sacrifice was kalendi or whatever her name was in betrayal.i think lumiya wanted him to kill a skywalker so that luke would go nuts.
ps i think luke did go nuts when he decapitated lumiya and she got what she wanted.luke has started to slip into darkness and that may have been her plan all along.
also mara will be a ghost.noone wants to sign the petition besides those who have already. half the people say they wont and i think some people think that by writing on this page that they have signed it but they havent.
Which gets to be my point
The reason i suggested writing a letter is because it does take time to write it.
That will get lucasfilm and del rey attention especially if it is written in a civil tone and not profanity laced .
When star trek was cancelled after 2 seasons back in the 1968
a massive letter writing campain got it back on the air for another season .
And i dont think the phone idea will work this time because as far as i know there are no contact phone numbers to call either lucasfilm or del rey
Which gets back to what i said earlier.
If everybody in the star wars community banded together this would get done.
And i will ask the question again

You’re right about phone for Del Rey, at least. They and Random House win the award for least helpful websites on the planet.

You can see if you can wrangle some contact information out of them, but the only contact information listed for Del Rey or Ballantine says “To request review copies and author information, you may contact the following publishers: Ballantine Books, Fawcett, Ivy, Del Rey, One World/Striver’s Row, Presidio Press: bfi@randomhouse.com“
The Del Rey newsletter’s email is listed as ccabello@randomhouse.com, and the mailing address for Lucasfilm is “P.O. Box 29901, San Francisco, CA 94129”. However, according to them, “Lucasfilm is responsible for the production, promotion and strategic management of the company’s various theatrical, television and entertainment properties,” so on the matter of books you’d probably be better off working on Del Rey.
But to respond back to “darth who” he was named “darth’ before he went to the jedi temple….and Anikin didn’t like Mace anyway…. I again don’t understand why you have to sacrifice someone….Vader didn’t….And I’ll be sure to E-mail Del Rey…..I’m very Perswaysive….and yes I know that’s spelled incorrectly….

I’m a HUGE fan of Star Wars. If it has Star Wars in it’s title I want it! I was reading Sacrifice, when I read that one of my most favorite charactors Mara Jade Skywalker died by the hands of one of my least favorate charactors, Jacen. Pain struck my heart when I read about Ben sitting over her dead corpse. I would hate to ‘Stand on the soap box’ but, She was one of those charactors that I really loved and couldn’t wait until the next chapter to read about her some more. I loved every single aspect of Mara’s personality. She was my second favorate charactor, (Luke is my first), is there ANY chance she will be resurrected? I love your books and hope to see Mara in them once again…
