Jericho Sucks and now its Cancelled Too – Good Riddance March 22, 2008

I never cared for peanuts or Jericho.
Sure lots of ppl do and that’s great ..but apparently not enough for a network TV show..and so it’s dead — again.
“The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale,” CBS said in a statement. “Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high quality second season. We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We’re proud of everyone’s efforts.”
Bottom line here is network TV is no longer for niche show that are mostly sucky like Jericho.

Gotta say I enjoyed Jericho. It was not a perfect show but it had an interesting premise and was fun to watch. I will miss it.
So, without Jericho, the network can make more room for reality, which apparently there is room for with so much of it already on T.V.?
Lucky for you the internet will have plenty of room for sucky blogs. No one is saying you have to like Jericho, but if you have a blog we’d at least like to see you make the case of why you thought it was ‘sucky’. Course to really critic a show you actually have to continue to watch it.
Someone here is not a nice person. Speaking ill of the dead is in bad form. some of us are quite fond of Jericho. Maybe you would rather watch “two and a half men” or “how I met your mother” on CBS instead! However, some viewers prefer a story such as the very creative and well done Jericho line about survivors in a post-nuclear US. Just look what Haliburton/KKB or Blackwater could bring us! I personally hope SCI-FI picks it up!
well, the fourth post by that idiot Brad Williams is THE penultimate reason why this show blew. That reason being UNORIGINALITY. Shoot, this horrendous excuse for a “tv program” was seemingly “ripped from the storylines” and catered to the ignorant, retarded, malignant masses, who get their leftist, limp-wristed anti-military/anti American views from our news outlets who are less interested in unbiased news reporting and more interested in brainwashing everyone who’s gullible enough to listen with an unending stream of leftist dogma. So yeah, it does figure that you chumps would love this show. Sorry, but it’s downright PATHETIC how ignorant, originality-and-creativity impaired leftist IDIOTS use/steal various incidents in recent memory to create so-called “original” and “topical” storylines. Other than the obivious, that it’s bereft of creativity and originality(this can’t be repeated enough), what’s even worse is that said storylines completely belittle and downplay the tragic events from which they were based. Seriously, all these “writers” need to utilize a little something called (sorry for repeating this ad-nauseam) CREATIVITY. And to all you idiots sitting in your ez-chairs watching lameass junk on the tube and basing your world/political views on it: GROW-THE-HELL-UP. Try reading a book once in a while, chumps.

I agree with him the show did suck.
So because a bunch of small minded individuals who have no ability to think for themselves but are rather led by the nose by mindless mind numbing socially irrelevant “Reality” Tv Shows say that JERICHO sucks – it sucks?
Good thing that the General Public is allowed to make up their own minds about QUALITY Television as opposed to Trash Reality TV shows that without a doubt have JERICHO haters believing that life is exactly as portrayed in these idiotic waste of television airwaves.
Maybe perhaps JERICHO haters dislike the show because it actually makes you think, makes you contemplate, makes you research and wonder as opposed to being brain dead for 42 minutes while you try to live vicariously through morons who believe that by being on these reality shows it will extend their 15 minutes of fame…..
We need more quality television like JERICHO that shows the good side of human nature, that shows the resiliency of the human spirit. Lets open up our minds to more than our owwn little bubbles people…
I had issues understanding jericho, something would happen, and the response was always absurd. I’m in the middle of series one, still waiting for it to start, waiting for people to begin to get filthy, start starving, miss a day shaving, run out of make up, it wouldn’t be a bad show if they didn’t try to make it realistic. The little store is like the horn of plenty, everything is so clean and the emotions continue to be fabricated. There is no leadership, the town is total emotional chaos, where they hate everything then love everything. There are a ton of shows that suck in the last 10 years, and the ones who realize that they suck will one day do a better job. Even though the funding won’t be there, and the ratings will plummet, at least we’ll make a good show. The show has helped me control my ranting though, my cussing towards the tv is much more coordinated and thought out. I think it’s the only reason i’ve watched it this long.
This show sucked. I wanted to like it, but what started out as minor nonsensical emotional bs, turned into complete chaos or nonsensical bs. By series 2 no one makes any sense in their decisions. Characters are stoic in one episode and emotional messes in the next. There’s no linear characteristics to anyone, or to the mob itself. One minute we’re building windmills for Jericho and the next we’re mortoring it for some flimsy reason. The writing seemed lazy, lazy, lazy and incoherrent. Focusing on interpersonal crap when things like winter and starvation could have been the subject matter. It turning into another soap opera. And another crappy conspiracy that goes all the way to the top. Cmon. Fuck off Ravenwood and your shitty evil characters. If even one character wasnt an emotional turncoat I might have liked it better. Im not even American and watching the flag get changed as a plot device was beyond belief and stomach turning.
Please try hard writers. I wanted to like it.
