Stargate Atlantis producer Joe Mallozzi has a lot of ideas for Stargate Atlantis season 6.
While Season five episode 20 – the 100th episode for the show overall marked the series finale – it wasn’t originally supposed to be that way. Season five was supposed to be the gateway to a new awesome story arc of Season 6.
“It was also intended to be the launching point for a very interesting early season 6 scenario,” Mallozzi blogged. ” With Atlantis back on Earth, why the hell would the I.O.A. ever let it go? And if it remained, which, by all indications seemed likely, what would become of its occupants, especially Ronon and Teyla? Also, with a permanent station in the Milky Way, wouldn‘t Atlantis, logically, cease to be a launch point for gate travel and, instead, become a research center for Ancient technology? Well, I guess you’ll never know the answer to these questions…”
Actually we’ll find out some of them in the Stargate Atlantis movies – but still…Atlantis as a regular weekly series still apparently had a lot of gas left it in when Sci Fi Channel pulled the plug. What a shame.
Show Me SciFi 
Just saw the last show on season 5 and cant believe they ended it that way. They need to bring it back the fans want it isn’t that who they should be listening to the FANS not some studio big wig who don’t care bout the show other than the cash it brings.
the ending of season 5 was not what i expected with season 6 canceled …..i really enjoyed watching the whole series and expecting a ending not like SG1 series …….
I can’t believe SGU is coming back when it was such a load of garbage. Stargate Atlantis was just going good when they stopped it. Both SG-1 and Atlantis were great…but SGU is so far off base, I wish like everyone else, that they would bring back Atlantis! Thanks to Netflix, now you can watch all the Stargate episodes back to back, beginning to end!
Clearly there isn’t much support for the SGU show. Although Stargate Atlantis has been said to not have as much support as SG1 there is no denying it has a large fan base. It seems to me that if the movie for Star Gate Atlantis was finished and released and if it received popular support, it might be a good time to scrap SGU and bring back SGA. No doubt old fans would be extremely excited and even those that stopped watching SGA would come back with renewed interest. It couldn’t possibly get worse ratings than the new SGU.
SciFi did not pull the plug, the Atlantis Producers pulled the plug as they convince MGM and SciFi to kill Atlantis in favor of there neww baby Universe, which is a pile of crap, I watched the first 10 episodes hoping it would get better, it never did, so I quit the show, now they are talking of incorperating Universe in the next 2 movies of SG1 and Atlantis, if they do I wont watch them either, Universe dishonors the StarGate Franchise, it should be canceled, and thrown out for the garbage it is!
I would have to agree with everyone here universe (which doesn’t deserve CAPS) is a load of s**t that shouldn’t have made it past the pilot episode. Atlantis wasn’t SG1 but it wasn’t supposed to be nore the other way around I loved SG1 and Atlantis SG1 went 10 seasons Atlantis could have gone at least 7. There are plenty of ways they could have went with the start of season 6. However since they didn’t it is a ashame and I hope universe blows up in their faces they have brought shame to the SG franchise with it.
I’m pretty new to the stargate shows but I’ve went through and watched every single episode of stargate series including the movies thanks to Netflix of course…And I loved Atlantis they should def bring it back for a 6th season, it was a load of crap how they left it, they just ended it..But I have to say I’m liking stargate Universe the most out of all of them..I dont know why everyone is against it, I’m excited for the second season.
i loved sga! im very upset 2 find out that there will not b a 6th season. as a female it is very hard 2 find sifi shows that i can get n2 as much as i did with sga.. if you want 2 continue making money on the sg name bring atlantis back and let it finish out its story line.. ending things on a note like that, soo not ok.

Being a SG fan I have tried to watch SGU hoping it would get better, but to my disappointment it just got worst on every episode. SG-1 was just the best and 10 seasons pretty much proved it. I still don’t understand why it had to end with such success and huge followers. SGA was a different flavor to my liking similar to SG1 but still kept my continued interest in following SG…but SGU, totally dont get it. SGU is more like a daily soap opera TV show ,which is so far out from the whole SG genre.
