Great to have LIfe on Mars back..another solid episode with the werewolf of Wall St.
but..still what’s the deal with Sam?
What is project Aries? it looked like an FBI or KGB file…maybe he’s not in a coma maybe this is all a weird holodeck experience…
Or maybe it’s something else – but what?

holodeck experience… ha. Between tiny robots climbing and flying out of bullet hole wounds in bodies and now the folder and mysterious phone call who knows what is going on.
Is it time travel, alternate universe?
I would think it might fall more in the alternate universe or maybe a manipulated timeline (like an experiment).
Next weeks episode should a glam rocker telling sam he was saved by the martians. I’m guessing the aries project are the doctors trying to pull sam out of his coma using special technology that interacts with his dementia.
Project Aries is a joint Soviet-US program to determine how the soul is related to the time-space continuum (remember the episode where the Russian bank robber told Sam that in the Soviet Union he was an engineer who worked on a nano-robot that was implanted in a human for the purpose of finding the human soul, with inconclusive results?). Sam is a guinea-pig in this process. I don’t know why he had to be hit by a vehicle in order to become part of the “experiment”.
Also, the guy with the burned ears (result of an earlier experiment?) has the same voice as the guy on the phone who told Sam to go to the basement, even though they later showed someone talking to Sam on the phone using a voice modulator. The guy they showed using the v-m looked like the dorky cop, who is probably monitoring Sam like No-Nuts (after all, she is the only one who tolerates his “crazy” time-travel talk).
What is the source of this information, Markness?
OBEH – the information Markness talks about was mentioned in LOM108.
Thanks, I will look into it.
the kyrillic inscription on the lower part of the seal reads “oven proekta”. the latin word “aries” and “oven” in some eastern languages label one of the zodiac symbols: the ram, which is depicted in the middle of the seal. maybe someone can connect these tidbits to other clues in the story…
BTW, did anyone notice that when the burned-ear guy passed the Wolfman of Wall Street in the police station, they nodded to each other?
sure, that was more than obvious – and also sam noticed… i’m really looking forward to learning more about that x-files-like background story!
