Star Wars: Tag & Bink Were Here TPB|

The infamous exploits of this hapless Rebel pair are now collected in one single, attractive, and highly portable volume! Officers Tag Greenley and Bink Otauna were minding their own business aboard a familiar, princess-harboring freighter when they suddenly found themselves under siege.

When i picked this book up i was half expected a Star Wars take on the Shakespeare knockoff, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, and that’s mostly what I got.

Though to be fair, Tag & Bink are dimwits and their adventures just don’t seem to have the same resonance as Rosencrantz & Guildenstern. Tag & Bink die at a few different point and then somehow are re-written back into the story, it’s a bit lame.

All is all the trade paperback is a ‘fun’ if not simple read. Don’t expect great literature or a major new piece of the Star Wars canon with this one. Do expect some satire, some cutesyness and laissez faire romp through the Star Wars movies with the dimwits, Tag and Bink.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, along comes Star Wars Legacy of the Force :Tempest. This is the third in the series and to say the least, the plot has thickened…alot. Jacen Solo is real bad ass in this one and there is no mistaking his walk on the dark side now. Cover to cover this book was an awesome read full of twists and plot complications that commanded me (no Jedi mind trick required) to keep turning the page.

Star Wars: Legacy Volume 1–Broken

The future of Star Wars is here in an all-new adventure set more than a century after Return of the Jedi and the New Jedi Order! The Jedi Temple is attacked, an Emperor is betrayed, and the Sith are born anew! A lot can happen in a hundred years, but that’s just the beginning of the story!

I don’t know where to begin on this I’ve read about 5 Legacy issues so far and it is so unlike any Star Wars series i’ve ever encountered it’s totally unreal (in a good way). I’ll be sure to blog about it more as issues come out. If you’re behind just click on the image and get a copy for yourself

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Vol. 1–Commencement Trade paperback

Thousands of years before Luke Skywalker would destroy the Death Star in that fateful battle above Yavin 4, one lone Padawan would become a fugitive hunted by his own Masters, charged with murdering every one of his fellow Jedi-in-training!

This is the trade paperback compiliation of this groundbreaking downright awesome comic book series. I’ve rushed every month to my local comic book seller to get a copy of each issue and it’s always a sellout. So now instead of having to wait – you can just go and get the first 6 issues in one volume (just click the image if you want to get your own).

If this isn’t the comic book of the year i don’t know what is.

I’ve always wondered about he ancient Sith. How did the Jedi defeat them a thousand years before ANH anyways? Finally there is a book (not a comic book or a video game) that details the last great era of Sith vs Jedi before the Star Wars movies begin.

The book is a riveting tale of Darth Bane the Sith who decides on the rule of two, Master and Apprentice. Much like Anakin Skywalker, Bane is the chosen one (in this case the Sith’ari). He’s supposed to be the ultimate Sith and he is. The plot is crisp the writing style excellent. Two thumbs way up!! This is a real winner and perhaps the finest novel ever written about the Dark Side of the Force and the Sith.

Holy crap is this awesome! Boba Fett is back and this time he’s got a family. His family gets messed up with the Solo family and well let’s just say that there’s some killing.

Jacen Solo’s decent into the dark side continues as he literally walks the same path as his grandfather Anakin Skywalker.

I can hardly wait for the next installment in this great series that makes friends foes and old foes allies.

One my favorites things about Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones was Yoda finally kicking some ass.

No surprise then that i really liked Dark Rendezvous which is Yoda focussed Clone Wars era novel. Count Dooku lures Yoda out to his hideout with the ruse that he’s thinkgin about turning back to he Jedi. Apparently you can go home again but Dooku decides not too in the end.

Great read and defiantly my new fav Yoda tale.

I read and watch alot of Sci Fi stuff. Mostly just on a whim and almost never from a review. I haven’t actually found good review sources that ‘work’ for me.

That’s where this blog comes in.

It’s my take on what’s good, what’s bad, what sucks and what’s aweseome.

Hopefully it’ll help someone else out to figure out what they want to watch or read.
