Jacen Solo’s Sith Name is..Darth Caedus! May 18, 2007

Thnx to jwash24 who posted as a comment. ShowMeSciFi has now been able to independently verify that indeed Darth Caedus is Jacen Solo’s Sith name.
Jacen’s Sith name was chosen by a contest and follows his long descent into the dark side in the Legacy of the Force series (which is the most awesome Star Wars series in years if not of ALL TIME).
He takes his Sith name in Sacrifice set to come out in just a few weeks, but early copies are all already being leaked by the publisher.
So who does Jacen have to Sacrifice to get his Sith name…i could hardly believe it myself (and if you really want to know just look at the cover of the book and it’s quite obvious)..and i’m actually going to suspend dis-belief if you don’t mind until i get my hands on a copy of Sacrifice on May 29th.

Vergere was a Jedi, born and raised. I don’t think there’s any way she and Lumiya would have been connected as part of a plot to turn Jacen to the Sith. It’s just not believable. I know I’ve always suffered from a sort of naive incredulity at these things, but I just know it. And in my favorite book of all time, Traitor by Matthew Stover (it’s in the NJO series for those of you who don’t know off the top of your head), Jacen seems to become a really great guy, like he is becoming a true Jedi, not the other way around. Vergere is helping him realize his own potential and to identify himself, and to come to terms with his brother’s death. No, I don’t think Vergere had anything to do with Lumiya. She loved Jacen dearly, and Lumiya…well, I just don’t think so.
cboath was nuts, not the clone but the one in outbound flight.he was vergeres master or something and that spells sith for vergere. she was a master manipulator just like palpy. she was as cruel as vader and remember she was indirectly responsible for the deaths of millions at the hands of the vong by helping tsavong lah all the time.
i have a feeling that either luke or jiana will cut caedus down to size or maybe even ben as he will be angry with jacen murdering his mother
i think lumiya is just manipulating jacen into thinking that vergere was a sith tied to lumiya after all jacen trusted vergere didn’t he so that would just be a way to turn jacen to the darkside and make him carry on the mantle of dark lord of the sith
read outbound flight. cboath is using the expedition to find vergere secretly.that points to her being sith with the other evidence we have.
I have no doubt that Vergere was training Jacen for this exact thing. She knows that a government like the Empire, or what ever Caedus will turn the GA into would deal with problems like the Vong much easier. And, to have that kind of government to rule the galaxy I think you need a Sith at its head. Cboath was one crazy Jedi, he was as close to thinking like a Sith as a Jedi should get. That’s why Palpatine okayed Outbound Flight, to get rid of him as he was very dangerous.
I can’t wait for the next book. I’m just getting more and more worried about Luke’s fate. It was hard enough reading Mara’s death. Not as hard as Chewie’s, but I knew him much longer.

Does ‘Caedus’ have an historical meaning.. where did it come from (other than the mind of the author)
Caedus was created by a fan in a contest.
Anakin Skywalker, return? When the entire universe comes to an end! If Leia and Luke can no longer speak to him in the force, even JACEN would be incapable of bringing him back.
As for Mara possibly dying…
Luke.. Leia… Jaina…CUT THAT BRAT DOWN!
I do pray that Ben comes to his senses and decides it’s time to deal with what really matters… and stop another sith lord from trying to repeat history.
