Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.

Wow, and here I thought since May that I was part of only a handful of people who thought the way I did after reading Sacrifice.

I’ve already made my peace with it since, by ignoring “profic” and creating my own in fan fiction, a place where your favorite characters NEVER die stupidly. I am now so glad I am not alone.
You want a great litmus test of how this latest death was perceived? My mother is, to say the least, no fan of Star Wars. She doesn’t hate it, she just can’t get into it. Yet she respects my love for it. I told her of the stories I’ve written and why. I told her of all the deaths in the past five years. Chewie, Anakin Solo, and now Mara Jade.
Her reaction: That’s not Star Wars!
A NON FAN understands this, why can’t Del Rey?
This is NOT the Star Wars I grew up with, and with the addition of Luke marrying a bad ass ex-assassin who once tried to kill him, I became 10 years old all over again.
Then the deaths started. And the final straw was Mara Jade.
I’m done with all Star Wars books. And in case you are hoping for a Mara Jade central book, dream on. It will never happen. A non Lucas character had to die and she was in line.
And to those who try to tell me that people die and move on? Yes, people die. In Iraq. On the streets. In real life.
Star Wars was about escape from that.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I like less reality in my fiction.

I know how to write it to bring her back and still keep with in the general story line if not improve it, it would also be one of those ultra difficult Jedi feats that would require the strength of the entire order and some fallen Jedi Masters, who all agree to take a once in an eon opportunity to bring back the recently fallen Jedi Master Mara Jade Skywalker.
Hey how about this they do it and then Mara gets to be the one who finally kicks Jacen/Darth whats his names butt, I’d call it poetic justice, not to mention greatly entertaining for the shock value when he first sees her step out and ignite her light saber. π
What do you folks think of that?
There will be no killing of Lord Ceadus. As I have grown to understand the love that all of you have for Mara Jade, I don’t think this will make it better. I love the idea on how to bring her back but, not for this series. I would look forward to reading something like this in the next series. I say Caedus has to finish what is started and build a strong empire, the, let him be redeamed ( not) or killed. And if he is killed, let it be by his apprentices hand, like it’s suposed to be among the sith.
you know i got over maras death but i swear to god if jacen doesn’t die in this im gunna be f@%King pissed I personally hope its a duel to the death with him and jacen and wedge and Lando crash into the two dueling in a ship and all 4 die then chewie appears inthe ashes holding anican

Bring her back, have her or Ben kill Jacen and take his daughter to become a Jedi. Or have her kill Jacen with Mara. Just get her back.
Maybe she could be the first one brought back using that force technigue what Cade Skywalker. I personally say yes for her return.
