We’ve known since at least November that Jaina would be on the cover of the final book of the Legacy of the Force series.
Now the first images of the actual book cover are available and it looks to us that she’s going to have a showdown with her brother Jacen – Darth Caedus.
That is a confrontation that is – Inevitable – maybe that should’ve been the name of the book. Then again maybe Invincible refers to Jacen/Caedus….
Invincible’s release date is set for May 13, 2008. Amazon is already taking pre-orders on this the final installment of the Legacy of the Force – it’s a hardcover so it’s more dough than the paperbacks. Amazon currently has a neat offer though, they’re starting at 34% off list price and if you pre-order now they’ll give you an extra 5% discount. Sure beat paying full price the day it comes out..but i wonder if they’ll actually ship it to arrive on May 13th..

Will you all go to the other forum and get this off of your chests there! The book was a disapontment to put it extremly lightly. I too, just skimmed the last part of the book after they….WOW….no imagination…NONE! lET’S TAKE THIS TO THE ” INVINCABLE OUT TODAY FORUM…this is the…I just don’t have the words….I wish we could just pour all of our emotions on this page as word won’t cover it!!!!!!
Like I said, this garbage heap of a series was about a publisher and a small handful of authors selling out. Traviss seems to have signed on to just get a little more milage out of her clones, Allston seemed to me to have at least put a little effort in but if he actually gave a crap about the last 17 years worth of efforts he wouldn’t have signed on, last and certainly least of course is Denning who gave us such great contributions as a dead future protagonist for the “next generation” and some bugs.
You all suck ass like come on you have the book and you can’t even enjoy the fucking thing, whats your problems!?!?!?!
The book was enjoyable in the beginning Hansen, but then denning got really sloppy. If you want to kill Caedus off fine, but do it in a way that is believable. In the beginning of the novel, denning had caedus a strong and wise sith. Caedus knew what he was doing wrong and corrected his ways. But toward the end, denning had him as a complete idiot. Just because you saw the future and he “won”, doesn’t mean you just give up and say who gives a shit about anything. You still have to make it happen. And then you have jaina who did nothing for 7 books just show up and become more powerful than Caedus. Just bad writing.
My problem is that it’s going to be kind of hard to write a decent next series that is in line with the rest of the novels after something that is overall this lousy.
Randy i liked the book and the series overall. I did not want jacen to die and i think they could of made a better ending but it was a good series. My only problem is where do they go from here I hate han solo, love luke and the rest of the charecters. I wonder what is going to be next and if it will be worth reading
I herd about the gay comics about “Darth Krayt” and i don’t even want to glance at them. But why is Boba Fett Mandalore? And why is Pelleon dead from a appreantice i realy wanted him to die in a ship explosion you know? go down with the ship and jagged fel, how in the hell did he get the chiss to let him be the commander in the Killik conflic?
and i guess it does suck how Denning kills off Mara Jade and they totaly get rid of all the best charaters like lowie and tenel ka oh yah is there anybody in the empiral navy Admiral Daala hasn’t screwed?!?!?!
Since most likely none of these authors will write Star Wars novels for whoever may get their license, I doubt any of them really give a crap what shape they leave the line in with this cash in series.

jacen was a great character stop your crying and admit that if you read from traitor on that jacen was a badass but he fell. he got cocky and fell. luke is the man if you dont like it then tough shit.
luke is in his sixties not 80s.he was the fallanassis woorst student by the way. jacen was second worst.
everyone take your fingers off the nuclear launch buttons and just fucking relax. it was a good book. i dont know about you but a hundred jedi raiding the anakin solo sounded pretty cool to me.
also the authors set up everything for the future if you would stop crying and read the legacy comics. give them a fucking try.
luke created the fel dynasty at the end of the book by putting jag in control of the empire. han gave the idea for the imperial mission which is in legacy. and dalla being in charge is cool. she was always a great villain and now shes gonna be the leader of the galaxy? its gonns be some good reading when the story continues.
at the back of the book it tells about milennium falcon. read that part. this new threat that attacks the force itself may finally bring us the chiss joining the fel empire and fighting a new unknown threat.
i am as mad as everyone in here about jacen but
if you dont like star wars books then you can GO EAT POODOO
