Stargate Atlantis producer Joe Mallozzi has a lot of ideas for Stargate Atlantis season 6.
While Season five episode 20 – the 100th episode for the show overall marked the series finale – it wasn’t originally supposed to be that way. Season five was supposed to be the gateway to a new awesome story arc of Season 6.
“It was also intended to be the launching point for a very interesting early season 6 scenario,” Mallozzi blogged. ” With Atlantis back on Earth, why the hell would the I.O.A. ever let it go? And if it remained, which, by all indications seemed likely, what would become of its occupants, especially Ronon and Teyla? Also, with a permanent station in the Milky Way, wouldn‘t Atlantis, logically, cease to be a launch point for gate travel and, instead, become a research center for Ancient technology? Well, I guess you’ll never know the answer to these questions…”
Actually we’ll find out some of them in the Stargate Atlantis movies – but still…Atlantis as a regular weekly series still apparently had a lot of gas left it in when Sci Fi Channel pulled the plug. What a shame.

To Bobby, Kate, Ed, Hailee, Miriam, Sal Lesic and all other SGA fans out there,
Glad to see you all want to see a SGA Season 6 (& more I hope) but I read an article recently that said unless the producers, directors, casting directors, film studios hear from the fans as to what WE want they just do what they want.
So if we (the fans) want to see a season 6, 7, 8, 9, etc then it’s obvious what we have to do. Get writing, texting, emailing to MGM Studios in Vancouver, to people like Brad Wright, Robert C Cooper, Joe Mallozzi, Jonathan Glazzner (all involved with SG productions) and anyone else you can think of and let them know what WE want. Get all your friends involved and reach out to other fans all over the world and get them involved as well. LETS GET THINGS GOING SOON. Come on, people (fan) power can and does work as it did with FARSCAPE and with the return of Paul McGillian to SGA.
Methinks the time would be better spent towards writing letters to the make a wish foundation, in support of bringing it back…. As has been pointed out for god only knows what reason they pulled it before it was due, leaving most to wonder what the hell was going to happen….
I sincerely hope that the next series in the SG sagas is as well written, includes as much of the previous cast as possible, (due to the fact they work brilliantly together and carry the story well) and seamlessly integrates where 5 left off.
Series 9 … pushing the limits…….. But to stop at 6….. Pffft. Betcha the cast is a bit put out over that too.

Wow, what another example of the corporate mismanagement we are seeing in the US now a-days. That compounded by the lack of customer service we are now seeing. I’m sorry to inconvenience they by watching what I’m interested in and not what ever they want us to watch (because someone else bribed them into airing something else). – Rook
What the hell no more stargate Atlantis I just finished watching the last episode on season 5 and to tell you the truth I was kind of disapointed I would think you guys would send Atlantis deeper into the Pegasses System, but you cancell the show? Please bring back Stargate Atlantis with its original crew, and plus there was plenty of un-answered questions, as far what happen to Todd the wraith, and the azgar in season 5. Do me a favor and tell who ever is reading this that taking Stargate Atlantis off air was the biggest mistake in thier carreer.
i know juan it’s sucks really bad i just re watched all the seasons ” i miss it” and i just remember what happed at the end i thought it was a really bad bad ending, i just can’t wait till they make the movie “so i heard they are making one”
No more Stargate Atlantis but instead we get the piece of trash called Stargate Universe? Hardly a fair exchange.

I was very dissapointed when they cancelled Stargate SG1, and now unfortunately Atlantis, what a joke! money money money, has to be the reason!!! Most likely these shows have made millions over the past decade, but not making enough millions, greedy so and so’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i only just found SGA in october 2009 and i frikkin love it, everything about the show, im completely hooked and after accidentely seeing half episode 2 from season 5 i then went back and have watched every episode from the start right through to ep 100, i want more i neeeeed more, its a criminal offence to not carry on with this classic gem of a show, it will be like (space above and beyond) all over again,,,,,CRIMINAL

i started watching SGA this year in feb i just thought SGA was stupid cause i was in to SG-1 and till i bought the last season of SG-1 and they ended so i bought the first SGA cause i didnt know where to watch them online so i was i hope this is a good series cause i pay’d 20$ for the first season of SGA and i watch a few episodes and i thought it was good but not as great as SG-1 but then i started to watch more and more of season one and i now i can’t stop watching them hahahahha!!! ” i’m rewatching them ” it’s a great show and i wish they never made SGU cause they canceled SGA for the making of SGU i just thought that was’nt fare and they left a unending story,
Same with me man j just discovered Atlantis like a month ago and I just finished watching all 5 seasons. It is CRIMINAL to stop making Stargate Atlantis. What a huge buzzkill . . . 😦 😦
We all need to work together to get in back in production somehow!
