Star Wars Legacy which has often been reviewed here on ShowMeScifi is one of the best comic books today and likely the best Star Wars comic book series ever created.

Set far beyond any other Star Wars series -the only lineage connection we’ve had so far is Cade Skywalker – a descendant of Luke.

But what about other Star Wars family trees? Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley recently tackled that topic in a letter to the editor q&a.

1. Are we going to learn what happened to the Solo family of this time?

There are no plans for an exploration of the Solo lineage for the forseeable future. We’re not in denial about them, it’s just that there isn’t a place for them in the story. Yet.

2. Any chance of running into any other descendents of of any other Star Wars Characters?

Oh yes my friend. Oh, yes.

4. How long are we going to have to wait until we learn who Darth Krayt is under the mask?

The answer will be revealed in issue 15.

Jacen Solo is set to become a to be named Sith in the upcoming Star Wars Legacy of the Force Sacrifice book .

My guess is that Darth Krayt is a descendant of Jacen Solo.

Anyone want to take that bet?

I am afraid that Legacy will turn into like a sort of Republic like series of comics. It already has featured two characters from the Republic series (Krunkk and this one wookie character). I hope DK wont be a Dark Horse created character but I am starting think that he will be. Some how he will be connected to Obi Wan and Tatooine. Most likely the Tusken raider Jedi Hett will be DK. However LFL is already showing us things that cause what happens in the Legacy series. Joint rulers of the GA is just short of one to make a trimurative (sorry about spelling). The GA supreme commander already has said that it is a good idea to have a large fleet of small ships than a small fleet of large ships. Also most importantly Lumiya has mentioned the Legacy Era Sith Order.

I just had another great idea on who DK could be. Lt. Janek Sunber. He is from Tatooine and had the chance to kill Luke. He may of not known he was force sensitive until after the Rebellion series. Maybe he discovered it during his survival after his fight with Luke.

Alot is goin’ on in the Legacy series. The writers I can tell are really trying to go in a new direction with things. As I have noticed so far, Cade with his defiance to accept his “call to adventure”. ( To become a Jedi, “Like his father before him…and grand father..and great grandfather” etc.) He has denied it and continues TOO deny it. He wants nothing to do with Jedi Or Sith or the Empire Or GA. Something else is when the GA and Imperial’s (under the flag of Fel) attempt to form an alliance seeing as they have a common enemy. Foiled by Morrigan Corde and that other guy…but anyway. Alliance have always been made, something that has been repeated many times in the galactic timeline. Everyone sees the Vong comin’ and decide lets be friends and take ’em out. That was the galactic republic AND imperial remnant doing it together with others also. But still there is always an Alliance of somesort. And so far i have seen no alliance only chaos. Total chaos. Darth Krayt knows that he can only do so much seeing as he is dying. And knows that since there are technically two empires now he has all of his forces split down the middle, those loyal to Fel and those loyal to him but his imperial forces are also questionable in total loyalty. Cade is going to fall to the darkside from my viewpoint when he is caputred by Krayt and will probably do what Krayt needs of him, to totally heal him. ( still kinda iffy about that tho). Once we figure out WHO krayt is…alot of light will be shed in such a dark galaxy at this point. There are only a couple of people I am kinda thinkin’ Krayt could be, MAYBE A’sharad Hett. Maybed due only because of his connection to Tatoooine, the similar chin tatoos etc. Possibly the son of Quinlan Vos, I DOUBT Quinlan would fall to the darkside, “again” after what he said when his son Kortos was born. ” The darkness will not touch you” or something along those lines, im just paraphrasing. Jacen is NO. He is DARTH CAEDUS. I am rather interested in the things Krayt has said though. He made the comment that he is “happy” and i use that term very loosly that he hadnt destroyted all of the Skywalker lineage when he had the chance seein as he has Cade to look forward to healing him…so maybe he IS of the Skywalker lineage, fallen deeply into the darkside but that contradicts the fact that he fought during the Yuuzhan Vong war….hmm alot of thinking to due until August the 8th!

I kind of think that every title of every book of LFL has a connection with the person or persons on the cover. If Jacen is on the cover of Invincible (The last book of the series) then we will know that he lives past the LFL series. (If my theory is correct) However I do believe that he will not be in charge of the GA anymore. In fact everyone could think him dead. He would then later reappear in Legacy to defeat a deadly duo of Darth Krayt and Cade Skywalker who we now can almost positively say goes to the dark side in the Claws of the Dragon story arce. (He is seen on the cover of the fourth issue of that story arc wielding a red bladed lightsaber) Like a lot of our theories its a long shot but somewhat likely. I am now starting to think that Legacy will be the series that will somehow bridge the old Jedi Era with the new Jedi Era and everything in between.

Darth Caedus is Jacen This has been mentioned several times that he cant be Lord Krayt
I believe he will kill Luke meaning Ben would be the only remaining Skywalker to carry the line to Cade and therefore not Krayt
I like the Obi-wan son idea dont know if its true
Although it would be really big twist if it was Luke But youd win the lotto first 🙂

I am totally impressed by the comments above – very knowledgeable people. It’s a relief to have Legacy; it has such an exciting story line, especially since it’s possible the Legacy of the Force series may lead to a closure and the 3 main heroes are going to die in the near future (Mara Jade is already dead and as somebody has mentioned Luke is about 60 years old and Han Solo about 70).

I am starting to think that the Sith and Vong had made contact with each other some how way before the Vong War. I have no idea what this possible encounter could of been like but maybe it had ramifications we will find out about later on in Legacy or Legacy of the Force. Anybody have any thoughts on that?
