Jacen Solo’s Sith Name is..Darth Caedus! May 18, 2007

Thnx to jwash24 who posted as a comment. ShowMeSciFi has now been able to independently verify that indeed Darth Caedus is Jacen Solo’s Sith name.
Jacen’s Sith name was chosen by a contest and follows his long descent into the dark side in the Legacy of the Force series (which is the most awesome Star Wars series in years if not of ALL TIME).
He takes his Sith name in Sacrifice set to come out in just a few weeks, but early copies are all already being leaked by the publisher.
So who does Jacen have to Sacrifice to get his Sith name…i could hardly believe it myself (and if you really want to know just look at the cover of the book and it’s quite obvious)..and i’m actually going to suspend dis-belief if you don’t mind until i get my hands on a copy of Sacrifice on May 29th.

Technically Jacen isn’t even himself, he thinks he is but he’s not. He thinks he’s doing it for “the best of Alana” but killing certain people doesn’t really seem to be helping at all. As for who is going to kill him, Jaina would only kill a corpse, seeing as he is technically dead and Darth Caedus has taken over him. Ben on the other hand would be a better ending because he’d be killing his mother’s murderer. But that’s just what I think. (I’m not sure where this whole thing got left off so yeah)
Jacen is, in a way, manipulating himself. He wanted to make the galaxy safe for Allana and the others but the more people he kills to achieve this goal, the more other planets want to get involved in the war. Akanah was right when she told him that he would become like his grandfather in TJK. But there is a difference. Skywalker did it to keep Padme safe so she would not die. Jacen did it so Allana can live without fear of death.
True, (no debatein or anything) but Skywalker was afraid of death in a way. I mean either way it does lead down to “You will be able to save your loved ones from death”

I think Jaina should be the one to kill Jacen. If Ben does it to avenge his mothers death, it becomes vengence and not justice. (although there would also be justice) If it is Ben that kills Jacen, I think that will pave the way for him to become Krayt
Yeah…I’d kinda like Jaina to kill him, but then that’d be kinda cruel to her…being his twin and all, it’ll make her really sad 😦 But it’d have a nice ending 🙂
Then again Ben would be ok for that too…but hed be blinded, and well as soon as jacen dies, there comes another sith
But I guess Jaina could bring him back…being who she is 🙂

jacen is doing it for the same reason as anakin did it.
jaina should strip him of the force because no battle with jacen should be all lightsaber.plus if he is stripped instead of killed there are new stories to be told. jacen redeeming himself and regaining his powers, or he could become sith again and then be killed. hes too strong to be killed quickly. he deserves to be like qel droma and live on to train more jedi or sith. maybe he can even help krayt somehow by teaching him things that some consider to be unnatural.
anyone who thinks jacen is doing it for a different reason is as blind as jacen is.

Sorry this is a reply to a post up several in all caps-Yes I agree with you. Jacen is not selfless. He IS doing it all for Allana. The books say as much if not straight out.
Um by the way, what is this conversation actually going to actually do??? Or you know, accomplish???

Sorry I’m using the l-word way too much. Um anyways, to get back on topic-is anyone even reading this conversation anymore? The post before this one was almost a month ago?? Just saying. Nothing personal and NO offense intended regardless of what you think. Um yeah.
Anyway, waiting for next book…
Well I do kinda think its gonna be Anakin coming back. On purpose who knows but I think Jacen or Thalia will be the reason he comes back. Maybe Thalia force warps back in time like Jacen has been doing with her recently and warn Anakin about what is to be his fate? Meh who knows. I almost stoped reading after they killed Anakin off. Would love to see him come back. He may even just come back with the help of the force to try and turn Jacen back to the light.
