Mara Jade Skywalker didn’t have to die at the hands of Darth Caedus.
It was a wasted empty death…
Lucas Licensing apparently allowed this disaster to happen and now we should call on them to reverse it. The Sith have the power to bring back the dead and so too then does the Force.
Whether it is Ben or Luke Skywalker or even someone else I don’t care. I just want Mara Jade back.
To that end we here at ShowMeSciFi have started a petition to Bring Back Mara Jade.
Please sign in and together we can be THE FORCE that will bring Mara back.

There are so few strong female characters in the Star Wars universe and to kill the best one………tragic.
Again, it wouldn’t be a good idea to kill the Sith Lord just yet. He must have his run and, with any luck it will be a long one. I want to see a Sith Lord surpass the great Palpatine. I think Caedus is just the one to do so. May he spawn a Greater Republic, ( it is possible to still have it called the Republic ) prepare a stronger apprentic and, leave the galaxy uniform well, as much uniform as the force will allow. We are no longer in the time of plane old Dark and Light side. As we all have learned from the Vong, the force is not that it is unifying. To not keep this in mind as Sith Lord, I think Caedus will not survive. Though, as he has been part of the Vong and has learned that valuble lesson about the force, I think anyone will be hard pressed to destroy him. I hope that made sense.
I don’t care what you say. Forget drama. Mara rocked and I loved her. She was a great character and didn’t need to die. I read a comment above saying that the Star Wars main characters are old now and are near the end of their lifespan. I have always found the age idea troubling until I recently theorized that because they live in a futuristic other galaxy, the human lifespan should vary to an earthling’s human lifespan. I am an aspiring of Star Wars novels. One of the main ideas I had included Mara heavily and I would hate to see her go. If current authors do nothing though, I will be forced to step in and resurrect her myself.

Maybe they can clone Mara….no, the Mara that was killed was a clone…a new clone, one that wouldn’t get crazy with age. Listen….Mara was Mara when Luke met here and when she had Ben..ok..but, sometime after that she was taken and replaced with a perfect clone, that would explain how Caedus was able to lure and killer her. Maybe. I’m still all about Caedus and his accention to the DARK SIDE MASTERY but, I do think Mara is a great character and a perfect balance for those around her. Does anyone else think that Ben will make a great leader wether he be sith or not. The boy is showing a lot of promiss.
As Anakin Skywalker once believed he could finally save Padme, Luke should save Mara Jade. Delve into the Dark Side to return his beloved from death. Here’s a Star Wars title I’d like to see: Star Wars: Legacy of the Force – RESURRECTION: The Return of Mara Jade Skywalker. And Ben should avenge his mother by destroying Darth Caedus by bringing Jacen Solo back to the light.

It really is tragic, isn’t it? I for one used to love the Solo kids in the YJK series. And I held out high hopes for them in future series.
And I was disappointed.
Looking back, Anakin probably WAS the only Solo child who could have been good, and yet they decided to kill him. Now Jacen has become a murdering Sith Lord, and Jaina is stuck between two former lovers, and despite her deciding to be just friends with them, the shippers constantly maintain that their guy is going to win her heart.
After LOTF, I may very well decide to stop reading Star Wars novels altogether. It’s getting too stupid, and it’s making me lose respect for the authors and characters.
And as for Mara Jade, I am SO PISSED OFF that they decided to kill her! I am so annoyed that I really don’t know what else to say right now!

I personally feel that if you do bring back mara you destroy the legitimacy of the star wars universe…what is next finding out after about 20 years that chewbacca is still alive too. it would be a nice thought but it wouldn’t serve the universe. Now what i wonder is why they don’t bring her back as a spirit like ben kenobi. that would be pretty cool.
