Stargate Atlantis producer Joe Mallozzi has a lot of ideas for Stargate Atlantis season 6.
While Season five episode 20 – the 100th episode for the show overall marked the series finale – it wasn’t originally supposed to be that way. Season five was supposed to be the gateway to a new awesome story arc of Season 6.
“It was also intended to be the launching point for a very interesting early season 6 scenario,” Mallozzi blogged. ” With Atlantis back on Earth, why the hell would the I.O.A. ever let it go? And if it remained, which, by all indications seemed likely, what would become of its occupants, especially Ronon and Teyla? Also, with a permanent station in the Milky Way, wouldn‘t Atlantis, logically, cease to be a launch point for gate travel and, instead, become a research center for Ancient technology? Well, I guess you’ll never know the answer to these questions…”
Actually we’ll find out some of them in the Stargate Atlantis movies – but still…Atlantis as a regular weekly series still apparently had a lot of gas left it in when Sci Fi Channel pulled the plug. What a shame.

Hi I’m from Sweden and I just wanna say that i love Stargate atlantis and i can’t believe that’s not coming more season.why can it be a season 6 and maby even up to 10 seasons just like stargate sg-1.

i have nvr seen the show untill the other day i wached the 5th season and i couldnt urn it off now doin research and im a little pist there are no more 2 wach! got hooked and now im without. whens the 6th season movie supose to come out?
Stargate atlantis should have a continuation, in my opinion sci-fi and the directors from the serie should be embaressed with what they are doing.
i went to site on the internet were more than 98% out of 10000 people voted so that a 6th ,or more, serie would be made.
I think we all who like stargate atlantis should make pressure on sci-fi and makers of the serie so they continue it.

I too am sadden that there is no session 6. I have all of Stargate and all of the Atlantis series DVD’s. As far as I was concern it was the only reason I went to Syfi channel. NO reason to go there anymore.
sooooo lame, i just thought it was the season finally, and ive been waiting, till tonight when i came to this site and found out the bad news. so so so sad. what’s up with syfy always canceling good shows?
does anybody remember farscape, god i loved that shows. what like syfy had to make way for big movies titles like fire snake? or such t.v hits like eureka. i love you syfy but some times i dont like you

On the finale it was said that we would have the voyage home. So what the heck?? I am so disappointed in Syfy, you make us promises and then backout. Atlantis was so good I miss all the characters, you left us hanging!! I get so mad at the people who are supposed to be in charge of the shows people like. Instead you put on lame movies that are so dumb and so rated B that you insult us. Get a concensus from the people who actually watch the station.You are going to really make us mad one day.
I like Stargate SG-1 and atlantis. The way it end’s isnt right, Me and my girlfriend has watched all of the SG-1 and Atlantis each night and i can tell you that my girlfriend was not happy when i told her that season 5 is the last one.
But the main question why isnt the next season being made because Atlantis is big as SG-1.
Sad news for me too,hope SciFi change theyr mind and bring back atlantis on
