We’ve all seen the crazy news stories where someone has seen the face of the virgin mary or jesus in a piece of toast and tried to sell it on eBay.
Apparently one dude thinks his Orea cookie looks like an Imperial TIE fighter from Star Wars.
This braniac has started the bidding at $2.97 for cookie (normally you’d buy a whole pack for that price). It’s unclear as to whether or not the imperial march or the TIE fighter ‘wwhooooosh’ will echo in your ears if you actually take a bite of this blessed Oreo.
[oh and hey don’t all Oreo cookies look like this? Now if he found an Oreo that looked like an AT-AT Walker or Yoda…that would be something…]

THE END?
After seven issues Roland finally becomes the Gunslinger.
This issue is all about action cover to cover; glorious art cover to cover and may well be the best issue of the 7 issue set.
Finally Roland’s Ka-tet takes action. Finally they shoot their guns..and as we all knew would happen poor Susan Delgado meets her unfortunate end. This is the issue that we have been waiting for since the series first started. The art in his series has always been spectacular in this issue it gets kicked up a notch.
Though it is Peter David and not Stephen King himself who writes this tale the prose reeks of Kings melancholy; sheer brilliance and a must read for fans of the English language.
This is not the end though…Marvel has decided to continue the prequel in February; so more visual brilliance is yet to come.

If this were a Stephen King novel i’d certainly have raced through this issue to reach the end. IN comic book format we don’t get that luxury – we have to wait a month.
This is a decent issue but doesn’t really have any really extraordinary revelations or artwook. Sure it’s good but…issue 6 in a 7 issue series is just a stepping stone to the grand finale.
I know..we said that about issue #5
Will issue 7 be a let down? of course it will. Dark Tower fans already know what the first book has so it’s just a question of filling in the gaps.

Now this is starting to drag a bit. Basic plot stuff moves along in this issue with Roland revealing himself to his lover and big coffin hunters figuruing out a bit more about who he is.
Beyond that not a particularly good issue. The artwork is o.k, but not as stunning as issue #4 or earlier.
With two issues to go I really hope they pick up the pace. Otherwise this series that started out so well will not end so well

Young Roland Deschain seems willing to put his friends in deadly danger by staying in Hambry when his relationship with the beautiful Susan Delgado deepens. Meanwhile, the evil Marten Broadcloak’s agents-a.k.a. the Big Coffin Hunters-are zeroing in for the kill on Roland and his ka-tet
Though still visually glorious this issue is the weakest of the set so far. That shouldn’t be too surprising though since issue #3 was so awesome.
It’s difficult to put your finger on what makes a series like this work or not other than to say that certain issues just ‘grab’ you more than others. This issue was basic plot developments nothing too crazy and no overly dramatic scenes that really stick out.
Sure it’s still a fine read..but hey across a seven issue set we can’t expect every issue to be spectacular can we?
