Chris Pine is now officially confirmed as Kirk in Star Trek XI.
I’m not sure that i’m happy about that…i really think it would have been a whole lot cooler if a name A LIST actor got the role. Pine doesn’t inspire a whole lot of confidence in me.
But hey filming starts in a few weeks and they had to lock it down – so good luck Chris Pine and I hope you do better than Scott Bakula.

Cheer up, dude. Did Star Wars have A-list actors in it’s line-up back in 1978? Did Babylon 5? The new Battlestar Galactica? Stargate SG1 et al…?
Come to think of it, did the original Trek?
I may not know who the heck this guy is, but at least Kirk isn’t being played by Tom “Certifiable” Cruise as was rumoured!
