Star Wars Legacy of the Force is the final book in the series – and LucasFilm has now confirmed that Jacen’s sister Jaina will be on the cover.

As of the date of this posting – no image cover for the book was publicly avaiable.

Invincible is set for a May 13, 2008 release in hardcover and is being penned by the best krifing author of the series Troy Denning.

Does Jaina on the cover mean that she’ll destroy Jacen?

Does it mean that she too will turn to the Sith?

I think so…I expect Jaina to marry Fel – from whose offspring Roan Fel will emerge. Roan Fel though not officially Sith – is kinda/sorta there with his whole ‘i’m the Emperor’ deal.

I kinda expected this. The big thing in the genre has been chicks who kick but as seen by Buffy, the the Bionic Women, ALIAS, River Tam (Firefly), Starbuck is now a women, etc.

Jaina is not my favorite EU character. But even leaving that aside her character has not shown suffucient Force powers to have her be the ultimate hero of the series. Not a fan of this move but not surprised either.

I hope the Fel family is NOT descended from her. To me, it just doesn’t seem Jaina’s style at all. And I think that as of Fury, she and Jag have decided to be just friends.

I agree with Drew, she just isn’t that strong of a character. I mean, they really haven’t built her to BE the sword of the jedi. But yet, keep throwing that around. Aside from that, you got two guys fighting over her. Sigh….I think she really could have been a decent character in the new jedi order, but she turned out to do was fly a
x-wing. She hasn’t really done anything with her jedi skills, as mentioned in Fury. Hence why she is training so hard i guess. I think its real interesting to see her and Caedus go at it. But this new Sith order thing intrigues me. Granted, Lumiya had to come from SOMEWHERE….not just a asteroid. She had to be doing something besides sitting around for a couple of decades.

Right now it leaves so many questions. I will look forward to Revelation to see if some of my questions get answered. I am not a Karen Traviss fan, because I am not into the Madolarian thing. Its obvious at this point, that Star Wars is far from done with the books. Ben is a real interesting character….I hope to see more of him in future books.

You know what I find annoying about female characters? They always seem to be tied down to a man. I mean, Jaina has been having issues with Zekk and Jag. It’s only recently that she’s started to get over them.
I guess things aren’t as bad as the shippers make them out to be. They see one single scene where the girl shares a few words with the guy they want her with, and they jump to the conclusion that they will get together! It’s rather frustrating!

Anyway, I’m kind of hoping that at the end, she tells the two guys that she wants them as friends, nothing more. Oh, and she has to kick her brother’s ass too!

Im gonna be mega pissed if jaina is the one to kill jacen. her role in the series has been secondary. and i dont really think she has the ability to kill jacen. jacens strength is close to lukes maybe even stronger in the fact that he has way more foce tricks then luke. jacen needs to kill them all cuz hes the most bad ass character out of them all

I totally agree with expandeduniverse.

TD is my least fav SW author. He is horrible.

As for Jaina, she is one of my fav characters. I think she is very important, there’s just so much else going on she is not getting the focus she deserves. Also, i think Allston & Denning are having a little tug-of-war here on who she’s going to get paired up with, and us readers are getting caught in the middle. She’ll find her place soon enough, perhaps in Invincible.
Frankly, I hope Jaina marries Jag. Zekk cannot let go of things… Jag can.

What’s happening, too, about her whole Sword of the Jedi role, was predictable. You guys are all just being too impatient. : )
Also, not to offend anyone, but you’re all looking at it from a guy’s perspective. Jaina’s not one to admit it or let it show, but she’s been hurt. She’s in an emotional spot right now. (Thanks to Jag in Fury, he bluntly whacked her and got her thinking straight again.) I’d be a wreck too if my little brother died & my other brother was a Sith.

All of the arguing is well and good, but all of the main characters from the NJO on have been weak except Anakin and the “original” Star Wars Characters. It doesn’t make the whole Expanded Universe and less fun to read, but it’s true. They obviously did not plan the EU out after the NJO or Jacen would have been the one who was the strong character and Anakin would have been the “introspective” one. Either that, or they needed to go more into what happened to Jacen during his sabatical. There was no character development; all there was was a cop-out by saying he “traveled” for a few years. They should not have written the Dark Swarm series and instead focused on Jacen and his change.

It doesn’t matter if Jaina kills Jacen or not. Their whole generation is half-assed. Let’s hope the next one is better.
