We’ve known since at least November that Jaina would be on the cover of the final book of the Legacy of the Force series.
Now the first images of the actual book cover are available and it looks to us that she’s going to have a showdown with her brother Jacen – Darth Caedus.
That is a confrontation that is – Inevitable – maybe that should’ve been the name of the book. Then again maybe Invincible refers to Jacen/Caedus….
Invincible’s release date is set for May 13, 2008. Amazon is already taking pre-orders on this the final installment of the Legacy of the Force – it’s a hardcover so it’s more dough than the paperbacks. Amazon currently has a neat offer though, they’re starting at 34% off list price and if you pre-order now they’ll give you an extra 5% discount. Sure beat paying full price the day it comes out..but i wonder if they’ll actually ship it to arrive on May 13th..

How the comics have as’haad living so long is so ridicules. The guy should be around 180 years old. I know he used some technique, but it so retarded. Comics dropped the ball. Sith HATE the jedi so Caedus will NEVER team up with them to destroy the korriban sith. The korriban in “secret” either help Caedus or try to stop him. But the key word is in “secret.” This would be because of what you said darth turtle which is he would put the galaxy in disarray, so they help him, OR try to stop him because he would bring order and would mess up their plans for the future. I’m thinking the latter.
It doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be jaina and Jagg that hook up. Remember, the legacy comics are like 90 years in the future. It could just be one of Jagg’s offspring that hook up with a future Jedi. Maybe Allana? Who knows? but Jaina and Jagg are the popular choice.
The last I read of Aurra Sing is that she tried to kill Jacen and he had her locked up never to heard from again. I think denning wrote her in Tempest, so he could write her back in in Invincible. I know you like her character, but she isn’t very popular in Star Wars novels, so they might not write her back in.
They have spoiler for Invincible on-line now. i am so tempted to read some. NOOOOOOOOOOO. haha. I did read one thing and that’s it. Must avoid going to the site. I don’t want to know what happens. last book of series and all.
i know wat u mean general i was on one website and it listed 4 characters and whether they lived or not and i think i saw jaina but it could have been jace but didn’t see their fate and i saw daala but didn’t see her fate either i almost look was so compeled to look but had to force myself to not do it.
i got insider #101 today and it has an article about invincible. it says han and leia look at jacen as dead already.even with that saidi hope jacen lives. when luke said she would never know peace it might be because she kills her brother. hger fucking twin. this just dawned on my and im really pissed cuz i think jacen is a goner.

I think that the comic writers haven’t actually made any final decisions as to certain plot lines, such as the Fel dynasty and so on, so that it does not tie the hands of the novel writers. So it seems to be up to them (the novelists) as to how things turn out. It could be Jaina and Jag, or it could all just be a coincidence.
I’m just upset that the YJK generation was effectively destroyed. If I had known this was going to happen, I might never have read that series.
It was sad to see many of the characters we have grown to love and adore pass on. Jaina and Jacen were the big players in that if I remember correctly. That generation was effectively the heart and soul of the entire order and bore the heavy load of keeping the thing from falling apart during the Extra-Galactic War (Yuuzhan Vong) while Luke and the Elders sat around with their fingers in their ass whining about how the New Republic didn’t love them anymore. As for killing off the Solo Children young you have to remember that they are like Thirty something now, In their prime and growing stronger but still adolescent in some ways.
