Lightsaber crashes against lightsaber in a battle between Jedi and Sith that marks a crucial turning point in the fate of the galaxy! The life of a central figure hangs in the balance, triggering Cade Skywalker to make a shocking choice that will challenge everything he’s fought so hard to protect, and start him down a path from which he can never return. The stakes are higher than ever before in the Star Wars universe-be there as the future of this epic saga is revealed!
I’ve been a loyal reader of Legacy since issue O. By far and away this is the best issue of Legacy yet – and that is saying alot.
Action, plot, fantastic art – this issue has got it all.
As the end of the first major story arc in Star Wars Legacy it is a fitting conclusion and a natural end. Cade makes his choice and as the cover of the issue implies he follows his destiny. I’m a little surprised he left his pirate buddies behind on Bastion but no doubt Ostrander will find a way in his brilliant script to reconnect them and i suspect that the next time they’ll be an opposing end of a blaster and/or lightsaber.

Getting an inside look at Star Wars Legacy and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic comic books is a real treat. And that’s exactly what a recent article is – a real treat. The article includes comments from both J Miller author of KOTOR and John Ostrander author of LEGACY.
It wasn’t that long ago that Star Wars comic books were considered a dying breed, until Dark Horse helped resurrect the franchise in the early 1990s with its “Dark Empire” series. If you walk into almost any comic book store in America today, you’ll find new Star Wars titles from Dark Horse, such as the popular titles “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” (KOTOR) and “Star Wars: Legacy.” The two series have breathed new life into the Star Wars canon, but can they help revive Star Wars comics? TwitchGuru spoke with the writers of the two titles to find out.

Lucasfilm Ltd. Wins Case Against Illegal Lightsabers™
Barred From Using Star Wars™ Trademarks, Maryland Company Agrees to $250,000 Judgment for Infringements
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In a court-approved settlement, William Osburn and his Maryland-based company, High-Tech Magic, have agreed to a $250,000 judgment in Lucasfilm Ltd.’s favor for illegally using Star Wars trademarks to manufacture and sell lightsaber™ replicas.
U.S. District Judge Ronald M. Whyte of the Northern District of California, San Jose Division, permanently barred Osburn and High-Tech Magic from using the trademarks and required that the company not sell “any facsimile of a lighted or glowing sword … and/or parts designed to enable others to build” the infringing lightsabers.
“Lucasfilm is very serious about protecting its intellectual property rights,” said Howard Roffman, President of Lucas Licensing. “We will diligently pursue companies like High-Tech Magic that try to make a profit by infringing our rights.”
Roffman said Lucasfilm will continue to monitor the activities of High-Tech Magic, and that it is investigating other prop-replica companies that are infringing on Lucasfilm’s trademarks and copyrights. The company will file additional legal actions against infringers as necessary.
As in previous cases, Roffman emphasized that fans who are simply showcasing their enthusiasm for Star Wars are not at risk. “Our goal is to go after and shut down businesses that are trying to make a profit off of creations and properties that do not belong to them,” he said.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic #11

A new two-part story begins as fugitive Padawan Zayne Carrick and the crew of the Last Resort devise a plan to nab some much needed cash. On the banking world of Telerath they set their plot into motion unaware the bounty on their heads is about to catch up to them. Yet there’s more going on than the schemers or their hunters realize, and when it all blows sky-high an unexpected reunion will throw Zayne’s life on the run into question.
SPOILER ALERT BELOW:
Alright the first story arcs were pretty cool and now we’re setup for 2 issue story arc which is coool since it’s not too stretch out.
Wanna take a guess at what the ‘unexpected’ reunion is? Come on..take a guess….
Alright i’ll just come out and tell ya. It’s Zayne’s dad, but we don’t get to that until the last page.
A bit of a waste but hey it kind of does leave you wanting for more…I for one can hardly wait to read issue #12!

Everyone knows the Imperial March. But no one has ever seen the Empire actually performing the music as an orchestral piece, at least not in any of the six movies.
Thankfully with the help of a little bit of lego and some nifty animation that oversight has now been corrected. The first time i saw this vid i was totally blown away by how professional it comes off.
Tunisian “Star Wars” set is inhabited by locals January 14, 2007

Just saw this story . Apparently the set of Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope is actually now home to local (albeit very poor) Tunisians.
So even though Anakin,Luke and Lucas left Tatooine , Tatooine (nee Tunisia) still exists. Don’t know about you but if I could, i’d book a night. Imagine…staying in the same ‘home’ as Luke (yes I know it was Mark Hammel but still)..wouldn’t that be cool?
Then again considering that the set is more than 30 years old and in the middle of a desert, i suspect that Luke’s home is anything but ‘cool’.

Star Wars: Legacy Volume 1–Broken

The future of Star Wars is here in an all-new adventure set more than a century after Return of the Jedi and the New Jedi Order! The Jedi Temple is attacked, an Emperor is betrayed, and the Sith are born anew! A lot can happen in a hundred years, but that’s just the beginning of the story!
I don’t know where to begin on this I’ve read about 5 Legacy issues so far and it is so unlike any Star Wars series i’ve ever encountered it’s totally unreal (in a good way). I’ll be sure to blog about it more as issues come out. If you’re behind just click on the image and get a copy for yourself

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Vol. 1–Commencement Trade paperback
Thousands of years before Luke Skywalker would destroy the Death Star in that fateful battle above Yavin 4, one lone Padawan would become a fugitive hunted by his own Masters, charged with murdering every one of his fellow Jedi-in-training!
This is the trade paperback compiliation of this groundbreaking downright awesome comic book series. I’ve rushed every month to my local comic book seller to get a copy of each issue and it’s always a sellout. So now instead of having to wait – you can just go and get the first 6 issues in one volume (just click the image if you want to get your own).
If this isn’t the comic book of the year i don’t know what is.
