Sure …Star Wars The Clone Wars movie was ‘ok’..but remember it really was just the pilot for the bigger series..the one that will start on Cartoon Network starting on October 3rd.
The first trailers are now up for the regular series and it sure looks like they’ve got a winning formula….more humor, more Ashoka and more LOTS MORE action.
A weekly star wars show…and not a 10 minute thing like the last time they tried this either….check this out!

Darth Wyyrlok is one mean Sith dude.
We haven’t seen much of him to date but this issue changes that with an entire issue dedicated to him and what an issue it is!
Darth Wyyrlok proves he is more powerful than an Ancient Sith using the Force alone – awesome!!
We also learn of his unwavering loyalty towards Darth Krayt which no doubt will also play a role as the story progresses…Oh and hey Darth Talon (aka The Sith HOttie) isn’t dead and is coming back!!
All this and next issue Vector finally hits its stretch run finding it’s finale in the best Star Wars series ever created…should be a real rush.

So Celeste Morne finally gets rid of the Talisman and then…
WHAT WHAT WHAT???
She fights to get it back?
Then she just flies off ..into the galaxy? To be found again in 137 years when next we see her in Legacy??
HUh?
Vector has been decent thus far but this recent issue just doesn’t make sense.
It’s just – ok lets throw Luke Skywalker in there for an issue and then move on. It’s really kinda lame and frankly we the readers deserve more.
Let’s hope that somehow the Star Wars Legacy writers can set things straight and really provide us with a real BANG for the finale of Vector.

From the “don’t believe what you read on blogs” files:
SciFi channel has confirmed that Season 5 of Battlestar Galactica will air in January of 2009 and not April of 2009.
Several blogs (not this one) claimed that Sci Fi Channel was going to frak over the fans and push back the final season.
The reports are erroneous, the channel confirmed to SCI FI Wire. “It is still slated to return January 2009,” a spokesman for the channel said.
**UPDATE** Technically speaking the January start is being called Season 4 by NBC Universal – i expect when they do their box sets they’ll call it 4.5. But it’s really Season 5. How do you have a show in the same season more than 8 months apart? that’s nuts it’s season 5 and Sci Fi is just playing around with numbers for some unknown reason.
**if you haven’t seen the new episodes you can pick them up on Amazon now too Battlestar Galactica season 5 aka season 4.5

Galaxy Quest (the movie) is now ‘classic’ SciFi movie stuff..but though the movie did well in the theater it never got a sequel (or even a prequel). That changes now thanks to comic book publisher IDW and the new Galaxy Quest Global Warning series.
First off this is great stuff and if you’re a fan of the movie you must buy this comic.
The storyline is simple enough, the series (after the events of the movie) is getting picked up again by the networks, but just as that’s about to happen a ship appears over Earth…
The pacing and dialogue of this comic match the movie perfectly. The artwork is the weak link but it’s easily forgivable once you get past the first few pages. A thoroughly enjoyable romp and one that we’ll be eagerly waiting for the next issue on..
Don’t remember Galaxy Quest (the movie)…the trailer has some of the best parts…
