The Domino Pattern by Timothy Zahn is the fourth book in the Quadrail series (so far) and follows Odd Girl Out, The Third Lynx and Night Train to Rigel.
The short review is that NO this isn’t the best book in the series, but it is still very enjoyable especially at the end.
Our ‘hero’ Frank Compton is on the Quadrail again – but this time it’s a murder mystery on the Quadrail itself. For three quarter of the book Frank and the rest of us are trying to figure out who could be killing the passengers.
The final resolution of ‘whodunnit’ was a bit stunning and we won’t do a total spoiler here , but no we didn’t see it coming and no we didn’t see the connection to Compton’s former employer either.
The other big stunner (minor spoiler) that the Modhri isn’t the worst being/entity on the train becomes apparent mid-way through, but again the twist at the end is STUNNING.
Once again, it was fun to ride the rails with Compton and crew, Zahn is an excellent storyteller and we look forward to whatever the next Quadrail adventure will bring.

So Olivia isn’t going to tell Peter he’s from the other side??
Looks like Dr. Bishop himself will spill the news eventually..but more shocking is Agent Broyles really a Massive Dynamics employee? and we still don’t know the deal with Nina Sharp/ Walter and Peter – is she peter’s real mother?
Overall –Olivia. In the Lab. With the Revolver. was another fine episode – with a freak that can give ppl cancer just by touching them –
FlashForward Janis Hawk is the mole!! WOW wHAT A twist! April 8, 2010

What an amazing twist!!
Who would have ever thought there were two moles in the FBI – and that Janis was one of them — or is she?
Maybe she’s playing us all – then again maybe not.
She did after all identify suspect zero and many other important parts of the case. She was also shot by the same hit squad that went after the rest of the Mosaic team.
Still it was amazing to see Marcie get nabbed as the mole, but first go nuts shooting up the office – only to be stopped by the double agent.

This week’s V episode –Pound of Flesh – gave us more insight into the Fifth Column than ever before as the plot really does get a whole lot more intense.
How many Fifth Column are aboard the New York mothership? seems like a bunch ..shame Georgie got caught though.
And what will the V baby look like? I bet it’ll be a bit green…
But the big mystery is about Tyler Evans – what are his parents hiding and why is he so special? Is he really some kind of Alien too?
Caprica – End of Line for Season 1, Amanda Greystone and Maybe the Series? April 5, 2010

The final episode of Caprica Season 1 before its mid-season break was easily one of the best episodes — if not the best episode – of Caprica so far.
Too bad the rest of the season has been sooo slow. It has been so slow that we taped this episode a week ago but only bothered to watch it now.
Big stuff happening all around in this episode – Amanda Greystone commits suicide – that was a shocker.
Joseph Adama’s assistant – the former doctor from Stargate SG-1 – turns out to be his helper in V-world and trick his daughter into killing him off. That was powerful too.
Then there is the Cylon killing poor lab boy – another swift shocker.
All this going on with the backdrop of Greystone loosing the military contract. Great stuff all around, no shortage of drama and action.
Let’s hope that Caprica does come back and SOON. Currently the plan as we understand it is not to have Caprica return until the end of the year. That’s frakking nuts in our opinion. This show has just now started to gain real traction and we want more – alot more.
Stargate Universe – Rush is Back and Lt. James is Lonely April 4, 2010

After it’s mid-season break Stargate Universe is back with its first new episode in months (Divided) and so is Rush.
Wow that was fast – we would have like to see Rush lost for a bit longer ..it just seems too fast and too convenient the way he got back.
And who are the bad aliens? They look like Asgards on Steroids.
The other weird bit was seeing Lt. Vanessa James (our friend with the natural assets) crying at the end because no one wanted to get busy with her. Kinda weird but after Scott ended up with Chole, James is feeling lonely.
In any event – great having SGU back. The dynamic on board Destiny will be even more tense now then before with Rush plotting to take over and the Aliens out there trying to take them all on.

Yet another solid episode that once again shows that the future is not set in stone.
The Somali warlord is dead and that’s now how he saw himself in the future is it?
But at the same time Olivia and Mark are drifting apart – much as that FlashForward predicted – strange..
But at least we now know what the D gibbons is a bad man and that leads to Mark Benford’s death – perhaps.
We also know beyond any doubt that D Gibbons is behind the black outs but who is that dude and how does he know so much about the future?

What a fantastic episode ! We finally get the full story of how Peter ended up on this side.
And yes alternate reality mom and walter are missing their boy too – and that sucks.
We know that Walter brought over Peter from the other side because his Peter died but now we’ve seen the whole story. We also get some interesting side bits on Nina sharp too ..is she Peter’s real mother??
I suppose that alternate reality Walter is pretty pissed too – will be neat to see when Peter goes back and what will happen when he finds out.
