Jacen Solo’s Sith Name is..Darth Caedus! May 18, 2007

Thnx to jwash24 who posted as a comment. ShowMeSciFi has now been able to independently verify that indeed Darth Caedus is Jacen Solo’s Sith name.
Jacen’s Sith name was chosen by a contest and follows his long descent into the dark side in the Legacy of the Force series (which is the most awesome Star Wars series in years if not of ALL TIME).
He takes his Sith name in Sacrifice set to come out in just a few weeks, but early copies are all already being leaked by the publisher.
So who does Jacen have to Sacrifice to get his Sith name…i could hardly believe it myself (and if you really want to know just look at the cover of the book and it’s quite obvious)..and i’m actually going to suspend dis-belief if you don’t mind until i get my hands on a copy of Sacrifice on May 29th.

While we’re all making people crazy with what if’s and all…….Is the old Kiffar reading the heart stone to Boba Fett, Quinlan Vos? …..he never officially died in any media and he was Kiffar. He’d also probably be in his eighties/nineties……just a thought. hehe
I think Luke will be able to redeem his nephew from the dark side. There is no way Jacen can keep this up. Not the way he is-he was the wimpy one, remember? And even if he does kill Mara, Luke shouldn’t want to kill Jacen over it. Luke is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. He’ll try to convert Jacen back. Jacen will have to either change back or die.
Oh and caedus, I believe is a Latin word, or closely related to one. It should be the nominative form of a second declension masculine noun. I’ll go look it up.

I doubt it Who.I can see someone manipulating Krayt from behind the scenes (Jacen ??) but i don’t think that Krayt will turn out to be a good guy anytime soon.
showmescifi : He ignored the rule of the two but it doesn’t mean that he is fake.Some could are that the siths who follow the rule of the two are the fake one considering that the original and first Sith empire had no such thing.
come on krayt can’t be a real sith and jacen can’t be controling him because jacen would want all-out power won’t he

I have a few musings to make about this and the state of our beloved ‘Galaxy Far Far Away’. 1. This series go on way to long, believe I have almost every Star Wars Book ever written, NJO that was getting to be a bit much. This new series is headed that way. 2. I know all characters are property of Lucas Arts, but I am getting tired of author A changing or in this case killing author B’s character(s). I hated it when when Salvatore (who I love) killed Chewie, I hate it just as much with Traviss killing off Mara Jade. As a plot point it just seemed forced. I hope Zahn can get a chance to waste one of her characters. 3. This whole series is just one big rehashing of the movies, perhaps Jacen’s Sith Name should have been Darth Ripoff or Darth I am a Complete Moron who failed to listen to my history teacher. But thats just me venting to the Dark Side. 4. As a character Jacen Solo is I think beyond redemption. He may think his reasons are all noble but its self delusion. Its just “Obi-Wan is holding me back, its not fair” sorry wrong Episode I meant ‘Uncle Luke is holding me back, its not fair” 4. As for who gets to whack Jacen, it will probably be a big fight between him and Jaina or Ben, possibly Leia. But my secret hope is Talon Karrde, he’s still around isn’t he. They should trap Jacen with some ysalamiri on portable frames, knock him out, take him to Myrkr, so he’s completely cutoff from the Force, and the wild vorskyrs tear him apart. No Force Ghost to come back later, no grand lightsaber/force battle, just plain dead like the punk he is. Turn the predator into the prey
