Stargate Atlantis producer Joe Mallozzi has a lot of ideas for Stargate Atlantis season 6.
While Season five episode 20 – the 100th episode for the show overall marked the series finale – it wasn’t originally supposed to be that way. Season five was supposed to be the gateway to a new awesome story arc of Season 6.
“It was also intended to be the launching point for a very interesting early season 6 scenario,” Mallozzi blogged. ” With Atlantis back on Earth, why the hell would the I.O.A. ever let it go? And if it remained, which, by all indications seemed likely, what would become of its occupants, especially Ronon and Teyla? Also, with a permanent station in the Milky Way, wouldn‘t Atlantis, logically, cease to be a launch point for gate travel and, instead, become a research center for Ancient technology? Well, I guess you’ll never know the answer to these questions…”
Actually we’ll find out some of them in the Stargate Atlantis movies – but still…Atlantis as a regular weekly series still apparently had a lot of gas left it in when Sci Fi Channel pulled the plug. What a shame.

I can say this. I hardly ever watch TV. I have no interest in SGU. SGA was the first TV show that I enjoyed and connected with in decades. I have watched every episode more than
once. It had a quality that is missing in most (99%) of Tv shows. Not since the original Star Trek have I felt it.
Back to regular life. I will not be interested in SGU or anhy other crap…
I just re-watched Season 5… streamed from NetFlix… which is definitely the way to watch.
I was being treated for Cancer last year and did not realize until today that Season 6 was canceled.

I agree SGU is not even close to SGA or SG-1. A case of diminishing returns I fear.
What the hell….I just finished Season 5….and now there is NO Season 6….this sucks as_!
Give use season 6, i need to know what else happens..
Stargate Atlantis was awesome, I want to see more of of that. Stargate Universe sucks, will never reach the popularity of Stargate Atlantis or SG1. GIVE US SEASON 6
Stargate Atlantis was the most amazing T.V. Show I have ever seen, I learned at the end of watching season 5 that there would be no season 6. I was extemely disappointed, and would like to know why. I was so interested in all its science and intelligence. I think the cast and producers would benefit greatly if they could do more seasons We want more Stargate Atlantis!
What The Hell I just finished watching season 5 What a horrible ending to a series witch obviously should have continued. What bull shi…. come on people what the hell. I mean this show was the best ever. I have not watched tv in almost 6 years then atlantis came out. Bring season six out. Hell make 10 seasons total
So so so sad that the series was canceled! I can’t imagine why as I was getting so exciting… Ive just finished watching it all again on dvd form the SGI season one all the way to Atlantis season 5…Not a happy camper!!! I want it back!!
