Stargate Atlantis producer Joe Mallozzi has a lot of ideas for Stargate Atlantis season 6.
While Season five episode 20 – the 100th episode for the show overall marked the series finale – it wasn’t originally supposed to be that way. Season five was supposed to be the gateway to a new awesome story arc of Season 6.
“It was also intended to be the launching point for a very interesting early season 6 scenario,” Mallozzi blogged. ” With Atlantis back on Earth, why the hell would the I.O.A. ever let it go? And if it remained, which, by all indications seemed likely, what would become of its occupants, especially Ronon and Teyla? Also, with a permanent station in the Milky Way, wouldn‘t Atlantis, logically, cease to be a launch point for gate travel and, instead, become a research center for Ancient technology? Well, I guess you’ll never know the answer to these questions…”
Actually we’ll find out some of them in the Stargate Atlantis movies – but still…Atlantis as a regular weekly series still apparently had a lot of gas left it in when Sci Fi Channel pulled the plug. What a shame.

I suspect that atlantis was taken off the air so it would not steel the thunder for stargate universe. Which suck’s maybe if everyone one wrote in that everyone will boycot MGM released movies and shows if they do not bring back the show might work.
I JUST FINISHED WATCHING STARGATE ATLANTIS ALL 5 SEASON AND IT LEFT ME WITH TASTE FOR MORE, 2 MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED. IS A REAL SHAME THAT THEY CANCELLED IT, I THOUGHT THAT THE SHOW WAS QUITE GOOD, I NEVER GOT TO SEE SG-1 BUT I’M GOING TO START WATCHING IT TO SEE IF IS AS GOOD AS ATLANTIS, WILL WATCH THE MOVIES AS WELL TO SEE IF THEY FILL IN SOME OF THE QUESTION THAT ATLANTIS LEFT OUT.
Well, the new book is out now, “Homecoming”…but the whole plot could easily fit in one, maybe two episodes of “Season 6”. So yes, Atlantis makes it back to Pegasus Galaxy
I hope they keep Stargate Atlantis i’n production!

It’s strange how crapy shows get like 10 + seasons , and the best shows like Atlantis stops!
I think Stargate Atlantis is a way better show then SG1,
SG1 got up to 10 seasons , so Atlantis should at least get the same!
loved stargate atlantis, Flanigan underated, just watched all 5 seasons, liked better than sg1, missing it already!- A lot of times it seems these shows are not given enough of chance w/ so many channels, internet, etc. I believe they need to alter their rating(# of viewers)method, as it may no longer be at all accurate.
