Finally a new Wonder Woman …this time it’s part of DC’s direct to DVD animation jobs…but it sure looks sharp.
Kerri Russell is the lead and in the stuff we’ve seen she’s awesome.
Firefly’s Captain Mal -Nathan Fillion plays the voice of Col. Steve Trevor and funnyman Oliver Platt plays Hades.
No it’s not the live action Wonder Woman we’ve been hearing about for years – but it’s the next best thing.

So Mr. Jones survived the teleporter but now he’s something..
Unimaginable
What is that all about what did he become?
and how did Olivia actually shut off the lights? Was it a trick or is she now a part of the Pattern?
We don’t know and that’s just fine. It’s the fact that this show keeps us guessing throwing us some weird curves..but not too weird such that a normal human can’t follow along.
Though the full season 1 isn’t yet out on DVD (it’s a new show after all) Amazon has all the episodes avail now so you can catch up if you want ..get your Fringe episodes..

Who doesn’t like the new Star Wars Clone Wars animated series?
The animation is slick (especially the non-moving hair), the voice actors are superb and Ashoka Tano is the breakout girlie character of the entire Star Wars universe.
We’ve seen a Star Trek actor – George Takei – make an appearance and had more battles than anyone could possibly count.
It’s all good. And Cartoon Network agrees so they’ve picked up the show for another year.
‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ is like nothing else on television and has delivered for us on all levels. It has helped us launch a great new night of action-adventure on Fridays,” said Stuart Snyder, president and COO of Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media in a statement.

After what seems like an eternity Chad Vader Season 2 is not out..and the first episode is a disaster.
NO – IT’S not funny.
It’s kinda lame actually. It misses all the great angles that make Chad Vader great. There isn’t a single good Vader line in this whole episode and the situations are just lame.
Let’s hope this improves soon…
Battlestar Galactica Season 5 Episode 4 – RIP Felix Gaeta – Blood on the Scales February 7, 2009

Battlestar Galactica Season 5 Episode 4 (SciFi calls this Season 4 episode 14) “Blood on the Scales” was one of the best – if not THE BEST Battlestar Galactica episodes EVER.
We don’t know who will get shot, who will live and who will die. Who is in charge? Will they jump? Will they not jump?
From beginning till the end this episode kept us guessing on all those questions.
At first we were certain Adama, Tigh or Rosyln would get toasted, but that didn’t happen.
Zarek issueing the order to kill the whole quarom – WOW…
Roslyn’s argument to fight no matter what…
and the people all those people on Galactica who
tried to follow their conscience whether that meant following Gaeta or Adama.
Felix Gaeta is truly the great tragic hero of this show. Unlike Zarek he is not evil. Unlike Baltar he didn’t betray his people to the Cylons .
Gaeta from beginning till the end really always tried to do the right thing, whether it was helping the resistance on New Caprica, plotting the right jump point or overthrowing Adama because he didn’t want they Cylons to run the fleet.
Gaeta wasn’t evil he wasn’t thirsty for power – only for justice.
The final scenes of this episode were awesome – Gaeta telling Baltar of his youth and then finally the pain subsiding in his lost leg.
While it was inevitable that Gaeta would die once Adama retook control, it was also a sad ending to a noble and brave character. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t get to hear Gaeta sing again before dying and this site for one will miss him.
Rest in Peace Felix Gaeta. Rest in peace.
SO SAY WE ALL.

Finally this drawn out series is drawing to a close at a good pace.
Last issue Roland finally gave up the grapefruit and we learned that his mom was still a beatch.
Now we see his mom’s treachery almost reach its climax…
Why Cort didn’t stop the dude from messing with his riddles – i dunno
But what thing for sure in this issue is that Roland now is finally shaping up to be the character we all know and love from the Dark Tower books.

Forget about waiting to watch the Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica on TV – you’ll be able to get it earlier on DVD. SciFi announced today that Caprica will be avail on April 21st which at least six months earlier than you’ll see it on TV.
Wow.
Now from what we’ve seen of the show so far – this will likely be a frakkin disaster. The first trailer was a joke. But hey maybe there is alot more to the show – and maybe it can be the same magnificent piece of SciFi Entertainment that Battlestar Galactica is all about.

Yes we were fans of Torchwood in the begining. But then the show started to get super obvious and far too cliched.
Now there is a new trailer out for the upcoming season three and it gives little reason to think that season three will change our perceptions.
How many times can aliens come to Earth and take over human conciousnesses without it become trite?

I dunno about this episode…a little too high and mighty on the moral side.
We’ve got a young female senator – a South African accented Amidala essentially – who needs to rise to the occasion to help broker peace btwn an indiginous group and her planet…
ah well.. seeing snow clone trooper was cool…the pre-cursor to the the snow troopers that storm Hoth in Empire Strikes Back i guess.

Nice episode and awesome to hear the voice of George Takei as the neimodian Lok Durd!
He’s got just a deep resonance that he really does sound EVVVILLL doesn’t he.
and yes master secura is one sweeet french accented kick ass jedi…
Beyond that once again Rex proves he’s the finest that Jango Fett’s clone can offer.

Great to have LIfe on Mars back..another solid episode with the werewolf of Wall St.
but..still what’s the deal with Sam?
What is project Aries? it looked like an FBI or KGB file…maybe he’s not in a coma maybe this is all a weird holodeck experience…
Or maybe it’s something else – but what?

I had almost forgotten about Krayt’s order to exterminate the Mon cal in Legacy #22/ but here we are ..Mr. Ostrander never forgets does he…
Though this is Jan Duresema’s art (wasn’t last time the Mon Cal were center stage either)..Omar Francia has done one of the most awesome covers and his interior artwork is AMAZING.
SeaTroopers? wow!!! makes good sense but we’ve never seen that before ..
And what’s up with an Imperial Knight helping out the Mon Cal?
ooh and what about Sith Scientist Vul Isen ? The dude’s head is a skull! We’ve never seen Sith scientists before…and we’ve never see the Leviathan either..neat idea a force sucking sea beast…
Sure we didn’t have Krayt or Cade in this issue..but after Vector , i think they all deserve a rest. It’s not like the rest of us are suffering either…with a new awesome storyline here – Legacy continues to deliver THE BEST Star Wars stories available anywhere today.

After last week’s episode – The Oath – a lot of things have changed and a lot of things are up in the air.
SciFi and Space Network (in Canada) have put out a pair of teaser trailers for Battlestar Galactica Season 5 episode 4 – that pretty much show us exactly what’s next. (Update –watch Blood on the Scales now)
Here’s the spoiler – Roslyn and Adama survive – but Adama ends up in front of Gaeta’s firing squad charged with Crimes against the fleet.
The best line in either trailer is Admiral Adama telling Gaeta, “Go Shove it Up Your Ass!.”
The Canadian trailer is better than SciFi’s but we’ve included both below:
and SciFi’s trailer:

Tonight’s Fringe was yet another awesome episode. And it was an episode that was completely different than last week’s No Brainer episode –
Olivia ends back in the Tank! its kinda like taking a bath for her..
But the biggest revelation of course is that John Scott is still not in the ground (we kinda knew that) and more importantly he wasn’t a traitor. Was this Conrad guy the same one that was responsible for the bio-weapon that ended up in the first episode of Fringe (i think so).
Is John Scott actually dead?
Well….we’ll see won’t we..but somehow I don’t think this is the last we’ll see of John Scott.
The Third Lynx (Quadrail) by: Timothy Zahn REVIEW February 2, 2009

We really enjoyed the first Quadrail novel from Timothy Zahn – Night Train to Rigel – This second outing isn’t quite the trip the first one was, but still a great ride.
The coral group mind, the Modhri is back this time collecting some art objects and desperately seeking the Third Lynx.
Our hero Frank Compton once again is well written and fully fleshed out as are the other characters. We spend a lot of time with Compton trying to figure out what’s going on as he figures it all out.
This time around the plot isn’t as cohesive – the characters spend most of the book looking for the third lynx but in the end does it really matter? Seems kind of foolish to me the way this story concludes.
That said, Zahn is an amazing writer and the Third Lynx overall is a fun, engaging and entertaining read. This is the second Quadrail book and without a doubt we’re hooked and will be ready any/all/every Quadrail book that Zahn puts out.
The basic tennant – that there is an interstellar train system controlled by a benevolent force –that is under attack (silently) by a group hive mind is just such an awesome premise – that no doubt there is a lot more to go till this trip is finally over (or at least we hope so!).

J J Abrams is out today with a new teaser trailer for Star Trek XI – set to air during the Superbowl.
Basically more of the same from what we’ve seen in previous trailers – destruction of the Kelvin, Kirk getting busy, Spock beaming in, Scotty looking worried..
But oh yeah there is one major plot addition that we haven’t yet seen in any other format
– a massive space attack on StarFleet Academy itself!
If you don’t catch it during the SuperBowl it’s already on YouTube – check it out below.

Third episode of what we think should be Season 5 (SciFi calls it Season 4 episode 13) was one awesome episode.
Called the Oath – clearly both sides think they’re upholding their Oath to the Colonial Fleet. The dept of Felix Gaeta’s mutiny is astounding he’s got the majority of Galactica (but not his boyfriend?!) on board.
Sure he didn’t shoot Adama, but Gaeta is a nice guy — or at least he was until he ordered the outgoing Raptor destroyed.
The Oath
Someone is gonna die there, will it be the Raptor team? or will it Be Tight? Or will Admiral Adama be toasted???
My bet is the raptor with all hands lost.
It’s sad that after everything that’s happened humans are turning against humans again. Innocent people are getting killed and all for what? Just because they don’t trust the Cylons?? That is a big issue and hey if i was on Galactica, personally I’d probably side with Gaeta too.
After the setup of the last episode – this episode is only part of the payoff.. i suspect that this mutiny will carry us forward right till the final episode.
Fringe – The Comic Book? January 29, 2009

Regular ShowMeSciFi.com readers know we’re big fans of Fringe here – apparently there is now a comic book out too!
It’s a prequel of sorts digging into the early work that Walter did prior to him going nuts. Apparently it’s a licensed tie-in and will reveal some secrets that also tie-in with the founding of massive dynamics by William Bell.
In an interview with CBR writer Mike Johnson said:
Walter is an interesting character to write because in the “Fringe” comic stories, he’s a “different guy” than the one we see on the show. “He’s young, he’s just starting his career, and most importantly he’s not crazy,” offered Johnson. “At least not in the conventional way, but we put hints in there that all will not end up well in his world.
Sounds neat, but wouldn’t this also be great as a direct to DVD or made for TV prequel?

The double double cross is in!!
Great issue seeing Gryph doing what he does best – namely swindle others – including swindlers!!
The only problem we had with this issue is how the heck did Jarael escape the negotiation room?
Is she Force-sensitive somehow?
When did that happen?
Oh what’s the deal with Zayne is he still a ‘Jedi’ or not? Guess we’ll find out….
