Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica prequel is out today!
Sci Fi channel has ordered 20 hours of the Battlestar Galactica prequel but it all starts with this pilot available first on a direct to DVD.
After the tremendous dissapointment of the final Battlestar Galactica episode, Caprica represents another opportunity for us the fans to get back into the BSG universe before the FRAKKERS decided to fly their ships into the sun, become farmers and oh yeah Kara Thrace is an angel.
Here we get to see the colonies before the blasphemy of the final episode…a chance to start fresh and see things in a different light.
We’re excited for Caprica, we hope it’s as good as the Battlestar Galactica mini-series was – we’ll see…
Superman World of New Krypton #2 Class Warfare April 20, 2009

Commander El – AKA Superman has a very different role on New Krypton than on Earth.
Now he’s in command of his own troops, trying to teach them how to use their powers…
But what about the whole caste system of Krypton? That’s what this issue is all about as the labor caste stage a rebellion…lots of action of one issue..
Somehow i suspect that the this will not be resolved easily and what this series will be about is a New Krypton civil war of sorts.
One thing is for sure after two issues this series is already shaping up to be one of the best Superman story lines of the last 50 years.
Sarah Connor Chronicles TERMINATED April 14, 2009

That’s the buzz…the show that started off so brilliantly but in season two has been mostly pure garbage is headed to the trash heap of scifi history.
We’re not surprised – no one should be. Sure some people liked the show this season but the ratings sucked.
We did like the last few episodes, the death of Riley, Derek Reese and the finale with John going back to the future...but it was a case of too little too late.
The show for the most part was — let’s be honest here – boring.
Episodes were poorly acted and produced with long periods of brooding nothingness. That’s not entertainment that’s just lazy writing.
The show had great potential and we were very keen on it in the beginning. Cameron is an interesting Terminator and she had so much potential that was largely unexplored. Derek Reese another fine character…
No this wasn’t Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor, and that was a major flaw from day one.
That and oh yeah – The FRAKKIN writers let us down.
Luckily for Terminator fans the glory days of Terminator are soon here. Terminator 4 : Terminator Salvation might be the best Terminator yet as we finally get to see the true John Connor hero of the resistance at long last.
As for the unfinished storyline of Sarah Connor Chronicles…well i suppose there is always the direct to DVD route and if that fails, hey books would work here too.
Doctor Who : Michelle Ryan AWESOME in Planet of the Dead April 13, 2009

The Doctor Who Easter special Planet of the Dead was on over the weekend – with Michelle Ryan (bionic woman, east enders) as the female lead.
The basic story was a cliche, Doctor gets stuck on a planet and he needs to stop the flying alien metal eating things before they come to earth story.
Michelle Ryan however was a sleek addition to the cliche , playing an art thief – turned wanna be Doctor Who companion…she even kisses the Doctor.
In the end though he doesn’t accept her as a companion, but hey we’ll see if that changes in the future….
Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles : Season 2 Finale, Series Finale? John Connor makes it to the future April 10, 2009

Let’s hope this was the final episode for Sarah Connor Chronicles.
John Connor finally makes it into the future…but a new future where his isn’t the hero…a future where Cameron is just a girl, and Kyle and Derek Reese both still live.
Weaver is a new type of Terminator trying to stop SkyNet and help save humanity with John Henry..
Yeaaah it’s all a little bit of a stretch…but this is the kinda of solid action that made this show attractive in the first place. If this is the final episode because FOX cancels the show..at least this show will have gone out with a bang.

Tonight’s episode – wow…so much activity…
Let’s start at the top. Mr Dominic is NSA, and now in the attic…we knew something was wrong with that dude…so ok.
Victor banging DeWitt..that was a total surprise.
Mellie telling Agent Ballard she is a doll? WOWOW another total shock.
All told so many twist and turns in one episode..and an episode that had a puzzle of a timeline, back and forth and sideways.

Last night’s episode of Fringe, titled the Inner Childwas pretty freaky..
oh and great to have the show back after its two month hiatus too.
So who was the boy? Is he a ‘little watcher’? Guess we’ll find out..but clearly he’s part of the pattern.
And Walter…oh Walter in fine form. He had so many good lines in this episode ..perhaps the funniest…
I’m sure agent Dunham has seen a penis before.

Michelle Ryan – best known to American TV views as the failed Bionic Woman
– and in the UK from her stint on EastEnders – is set to appear in the new Doctor Who movie – Planet of the Dead.
Planet of the Dead gets it BBC debut this Saturday April 11th and the trailer looks pretty sweet.

Wow what an awesome turn of events on Chuck.
First we find out his dad is none other than Scot Bakula ..then we find out he’s FREAKIN ORION..the Dude that created the intersect in the first place.
we did not see that coming..not by a long shot. So now the whole premise of the series comes full circle.
Was it an accident that Chuck is the intersect? somehow i don’t think so.

Friday’s episode Needs
was an interesting one — let the dolls walk free so they can solve outstanding issues…their needs..
Caroline needed to free ppl..she does ..
And victor needed to be loved..
Neat stuff and until the end, we didn’t have a clue what was going on or why they’d let them wake up in the first place.
There is such tremendous depth to this show , in plot and characters it’s just great fun – intellectually – to watch and try and figure what is going on and what will happen next.
Have all their Needs been met?
Somehow I think that Caroline at least wants to be free herself , so a future glitch is still very possible

We’re not fans of Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles – but we were fans of Derek Reese. He was the best male character in the series, a fine actor and just fun to watch.
As of Friday’s show Adam Raised a Cain
Derek Reese, brother of Kyle, uncle to John is Dead. He literally walked into the gun of a Terminator who shot him in the head dead. Quick, sudden and brutal. There was little lament, little grief..
After all the big thing in this episode was the CAPTURE OF SARAH CONNOR!
Yes this show often moves to slow, but now wow…alot of activity in a very short period of time.
Can this show survive without Derek Reese? Sure..but it won’t be as good.
the only character this show could not survive without is Cameron (Summer Glau) beyond that they can all get shot …well i suppose John Conner the weenie is supposed to survive but he’s so lame we still keep hoping he gets toasted too.
Star Trek Titan Over a Torrent Sea : Welcome Tasha Riker-Troi April 4, 2009

Star Trek Titan Over a Torrent Sea continues the story of Captain Riker’s ship in the post Borg/Destiny era.
Long story short is they find a water world and make a first contact. It’s a well written story but it sure does drag on in the middle section for a long period of time.
There are some interesting sections for sure — notably the birth of Riker and Troi’s child – named Tasha – after Tasha Yaar –
and yes the sexual tension between Riker and the nympho from Pacifica was also kinda neat and something that had been building in the previous Titan books too.
This book was head and shoulders better than the last Titan book which was barely readable but still not as good as any of the first three Titan books (Taking Wing, The Red King and Orion’s Hounds )

Star Wars Legacy is the best star wars comic series of all time – and it just keeps getting better.
After a little hiatus we’re back to the main plotline – where Darth Krayt is dead – or is he?
Somehow I think we will see him again.
Really cool to see Darthy Wyyrolok and his DAUGHTER Saarai.
Lord Stryfe – the dude on the cover – is clearly in for more panel time too and he’s one mean Sith.
And what about Azlyn Rae ? Going into a Vader type suit? Cade is going to go nuts!!!
Life on Mars Series Finale – They really were going to Mars – AWESOME April 1, 2009

The series finale of Life on Mars was one of the best series finales EVER.
The whole series we’ve been guessing how Sam would get back to 2008 – in fact he never did.
The whole thing was a trip – Project Aries and Aries Toy Company– to Mars. Life on Mars indeed.
Gene Hunt – was really the name of the mars mission – the man is Major Tom and he is Sam’s father …AMAZING.
Windy – Sam’s neighbor is really the ships computer!
The whole show was a sleeping dream while on route to Mars – WOW.
Of all the possibilities this was not one that we had ever thought of. Life on Mars wasn’t just a David Bowie song it was the mission.
This is one finale that made sense – it pulled together the entire show and wrapped it in a way that made us feel satisfied.

The first two Men in Black were classic SciFi comedies..
Apparently plans are now in the works for a MiB 3 for a 2011 release. No word yet if Will Smith will be back.
Even though it has been years since the last MiB – it hasn’t been all that long since that last new MiB content.
There is an animated series (not great) but hey it is what it is..
